Shield Me

Shield Me

I coughed but went rigid underneath the steel toe black marauder boots. "You should have stayed out of this. You had no business interfering Shields. Do you know how high and how far this will go? It doesn't stop with me and that is why I've gotta take the opportunity to end you." I laughed. This was my maze on my premises, I'd be buried here one day but not murdered. "You don't get it do you?" I retorted and begin unraveling truths for him. "Someone from high in the chain told me to get you and them and to deal with the infestation. You guys are like crumb snatching roaches."

Luna’s Rebellion

Luna’s Rebellion

I pulled again, and the tether strained—fraying, I could feel it. And then—snap. It wasn’t gone. But it was different. The hum wasn’t over me anymore—it was in me. My skin lit with silver fire, and for the first time, I felt the shield waiting for my command. Cassian’s eyes widened. “You—” The air shifted. And then the pull came—not from me, but from the other end. Hard. Violent. The Circle had noticed. Pain ripped through my chest, but the shield didn’t recoil. It turned—against them.

The White Wolf Luna

The White Wolf Luna

“There are three who shield him. Three whose loyalty cannot be bought or threatened. Kaela, the blade who never misses. Sira, who speaks to the moon in light. Raelin, who guards him with war in her bones.” Malrick’s eyes lit with understanding. “You want to break the pack.” Verain nodded. “Divide the shield, and the thread unravels. Not by force. But by doubt.” A long silence followed. Then Malrick spoke again, his voice like flint. “Then begin.” ---

Claimed by My Bully Alpha

Claimed by My Bully Alpha

“It’s going to work, Aurora. And I can help. I know you’re scared. But right now, we need to act fast.” The words felt like they didn’t quite make sense, but the trust in her eyes—the certainty—told me everything I needed to know. I could feel the tension in the air, the weight of the moment pressing down on all of us. We didn’t have time to question it. Not anymore. Caleb glanced at Alpha Camden, who nodded solemnly. Ashton looked between us, his expression a mixture of wariness and hope. Then all of their eyes turned back to Caroline. “Aurora’s right,” Caleb said, his voice low. “We need one more person to make the shield work. Caroline, if you’re sure—”

REMI

REMI

WE huff and puff sitting on our asses trying to regain strength and our breath. I get back to work getting a feel for the shield. It's similar to Blaze's shield. It was built with emotion. Whoever did this was desperate. So desperate they made a move on her in a room filled with her security, father, brother, and bodyguards. They want her. Either dead or alive. They need her. Either for her abilities or just because of who she is. I feel some hate and some love mixed in there too. They hate her for something she did. Or they hate her because they love her. They either love her for her or for the power they gain from being her mate. Guess they didn't expect her to already be mated.

One More Hot Contract with the Shadow Alpha

One More Hot Contract with the Shadow Alpha

"You are the one who burned the servers." "I am the one who remembers," I reply, stepping forward. I leave Clyde’s shadow for a moment, walking right into the woman’s personal space. My presence—the sheer, radioactive weight of the First Hearth—forces the guards to step back, their eyes watering as the lavender mark on my neck flares into a brilliant, steady violet. "Who funded the Silver-Sieve? Who paid for the neuro-block that turned me into a stray?"

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

"How did it bypass the shield?" "It did not bypass it! It read the frequency specifications it purchased and found the one gap in our coverage! The shield is designed to repel energy-based attacks and physical objects! This thing is neither! It reads as a conceptual anomaly! A gap in the definitions! The shield does not know what it is, so it does not know to block it!" Jack's blood turned to ice. Someone had bought their shield specifications, analyzed the architecture, found the conceptual blind spot, and threaded through it like a needle through fabric.

The Beta's Mate

I say to them. “I refuse to leave young lady. I am here to protect one of my agents,” Alpha Thomas replies. Shane watches the interaction curiously. “I will leave, if he leaves,” Shane replies. Alpha Thomas’s face goes red. “I have already said I am not leaving,” he says adamantly. “Then I am staying as well,” Shane replies.

Guys! Read this story!!! All of Ellie’s stories are amazing! They pull you in, they’re well written and they have characters that you both love and love to hate. You can’t go wrong with this story, or any of them really!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I’ve read 5 other books by this author and this is my favorite. Her writing pulls you in. The characters will frustrate you, make you laugh and cry. The plot is full of surprises and suspense, redemption and healing. Highly recommend. Read Healing Powers first.

Craving the alpha soldier

Craving the alpha soldier

He doesn’t like that answer. But he accepts it. Later, alone in my chambers, my hands shake. I grip the edge of the table until the tremor passes. Tyla watches me from the doorway, saying nothing. She’s learned when silence is support. “I don’t know who I am if I’m not the shield,” I say finally. She steps closer. “You’re still the shield.” “Then why does it feel like I’m letting things through?” “Because shields don’t stop weather,” she replies gently. “They stop blades.”

I Am Nothing Like You

I Am Nothing Like You

Krulisa smirked, "Of course you're not. You're also too weak hearted to kill them! Fine, here's the deal, you don't need to do anything to them. Only make weak to the sister who created that shield!" "Did you say SHIELD?" "She made that shield to protect herself. Inside that shield, she is inevitable! She can destroy anyone, kill anyone! That shield needs to be destroyed!" "So you want us to kill Catty?" Henry didn't even have a second thought. He literally wanted it. 'She wasn't my friend! She thought of me as her meal! I was always an outcast to her! She used me to kill my friend and my family!' All weird thoughts had coiled inside Henry's head.

At first I was a bit confused by the different characters appearing all at once. I will like to suggest if the author could create a scene break to signify a change in the scene, maybe a( ***) in the middle will be just find. Above all, I enjoy reading the book. Keep up the good work!
