DIARY OF A PATRIOT
Aisha's father, though now a Christian, was a prominent leader among his people, and he was well-respected.
Aisha had exchanged letters with her siblings as well as their father over a period of time, telling them about me, and once, I had travelled with Aisha for a weekend to Jos, where one of her elder siblings lived. He was an easy going fellow, who had a broad perspective about life. I enjoyed the short visit with his family.
The main problem was my own people. Mum had gone ahead to raise dust over the poem I sent to her. So, as soon as I got home to Enugu, my clansmen were waiting for me; even those from the village came on this said day.
