They were five in number or so I thought and once they were close enough, we attacked, in full force at Caleb's command. We were fighting in our human form and saving our strengths for when the real rogues attacked. One of the war dogs leaped at me, pushing me to the floor. It blared it's canines at me threateningly. I used my leg to kick it from it's belly, flipping it over and then attacking it. I buried my knife deep into it's neck, killing it with one strike. I grinned in satisfaction at my kill and when I wasn't watching, another war dog leaped at me from behind.

He watched as Alas stop from pressing keys on the laptop after he said that. Then, a little sound came from the laptop. Alas said, “Ace, I send the location of Blanche to her organization.” “Arf! Arf!” a continuous bark of Dog cut them from giving death stares at each other. Dog went to Ace and bit the hem of his shirt, as if wanting him to come and follow. “What’s wrong with you Dog?” It was Alas who first stood up and left the room, Ace followed next, and what they saw next made them stare in awe.

“Ryan, what the hell are you doing?” My eyes were bloodshot as I aimed my fist at his face. He dodged and pretended to lose his balance. He then dragged me along with him as he rammed into a rack. The flower vase on the rack fell onto the floor and smashed into pieces. When we fell to the floor, Ryan grabbed my hand and pushed it forcefully against the sharpest piece of porcelain! The porcelain slashed the birthmark on my arm, and blood immediately soaked through my sleeve. I could not speak because of the pain. Ryan looked smug. However, he immediately held his hand and yelled, “Ahh!!! My hand! Leon, why’d you hit me?”

Then mutated golden retrievers, German shepherds, and Rottweilers. They poured onto the rooftop from every direction like a black tide. None of them came for me. They rushed right past me and lunged straight at the zombies. Tearing. Ripping. Slaughtering. Under the fangs of those mutated dogs, the zombies didn’t stand a chance. Rotting flesh flew everywhere. In just a few minutes, the rooftop was completely cleared. The dogs parted, opening a path down the middle. Duke stood there, right in the center, then turned back to look at me.

It almost made me want to run, but I bet they would chase after me once I left. After staying with me for a long time, I learned their names; Saye and Arlo are twins, and Jippis is their older brother. Camila is the normal-looking girl, Kaze is the large dog, and Takkar is the giant. I was initially scared of them, but when Kaze approached me as he changed his size to that of a puppy and flashed his cute puppy eyes, I couldn't help but hug him. I got to know this group of people, and my fear of them faded. Although they don't look like ordinary people with different hair colors, eyes, and species, except for Camila, I'm not afraid of them.

By the time the first of them attacked him, he cut down the closest two at the same time, taking down three in the blink of an eye. There were about a dozen dogs, and Kal instantly made an estimation that he should be done with them all in the space of seconds, way before Talon came back down. But his calculations turned out to be completely wrong, as he watched the first black dog with menacing red eyes which he had cut down completely, splitting its body into two and watching its blood spill out including his innards fall out of his stomach to begin to put its body together just as he was about to continue attacking the rest who were already upon him.

Austin smirked. “No matter the reason, you still helped and I appreciate it. You are might not be as bad as thought bloodsucker.” Kieran grimaced “We are not friends’ dog and never will be. We share a mate and that is it. I believe you would have done the same as me if our mate was in danger, am I right?” he could never be friends with a dog, he wanted to kill him nothing more.

The girl followed the direction pointed by his gun and saw something lying more than twenty meters away. "A dog?" She squinted her eyes in hopes she gets a clearer view, and noticed that it was really a dog, it looked to be a golden retriever, but she couldn't say for sure due to the blood and wounds all over its body.
