[Cordelia] Giggling like school children Altas pulls me upstairs to the second floor of the house. The first door to the right is a smaller bedroom. It is decorated in shades of green and blue with an assembled crib and changing table. In the corner near the sunlit window is a large, cushioned glider with a matching stool. "This was my bedroom," he smiles as he places a hand on the wall. "Now it will be his." "When did you have this done?" I look around, marveling at all the small, intricate details, like a mini fridge to store breast milk and milk warmer for feedings when I'm away. There are even clothes and all the little necessities he will need as he grows.

That one was going back to Boston with me to gift Max, like Sienna had bought a wok pan set for Margo on our way back from the airfield this evening. The bed sat centered in the room like a monument, easily large enough to sleep four people comfortably. It was dressed in crisp white linens, and two swans crafted with towels kissed in the middle of it. Dried rose petals were scattered everywhere on the beddings. "Ewww," Sienna groaned, standing in front of the bed and staring at the lovely arrangement. “I think you meant Awww,” I said. She rolled her eyes. “I was hoping it wouldn't be one bed.”

“Your tummy is loud.” “It is,” Aislen agreed. “Shh, now.” She twisted awkwardly until she could set one foot and then the other to the ground and stand, with Jessica wrapped around her like a monkey. The little bedroom was… cute. She couldn’t see all the details in the dark, but she could see enough to make out the pretty, solid wood single bed, a dresser with a winged mirror, and the cupboard that they’d been in, filled with winter coats and women’s dresses. The bedspread and the curtains on the little window were floral. The walls were wood and rustic.

Alisia agreed, nodding her head in agreement with a small smile pulling at the sides of her cheeks. I walked around the room, slowly processing the beauty of it all. The queen sized bed, which was the highlight of the room, had a black wooden frame and was covered in silk royal green colored bedsheets and a comfortable looking duvet. There were two bedside drawers in both sides of the bed, and on each one of them sat golden lamps which held light bulbs that illuminated bright golden light. An over-sized bed. Finding a bed larger than a California King is difficult but not impossible. Especially when you live in a city like Dallas. The Sleep Number store had a "Grand King" which was about 30% larger than a standard king, but it had the two separate chambers for adjustment, and we were looking to put it in sideways. It would still be 80" long, the same as a king, but 22" wider. But after an hour in that store, we figured we were wasting our time. Plus, the Grand King cost twice as much as their other beds. Ouch.

Alpha Jameson paces the room they insisted I stay in. It’s far more lavish than what I’m accustomed to with its sweeping windows spanning the entire side of the room and enough space to house thirty warriors. Instead of my typical full-size bed, I’m being forced to lie in a king-sized, four-poster bed with gray linens. The only thing that is similar to my room is the color of the blankets I’m laying in. And hell, these linens are easily much finer than the ones I use.

Ooh, one of those zero-gravity beds would be cool. The spare bed at Parker’s place was pretty good and Talia was pretty sure she was the only one to have ever slept on it, but this one had a zero-gravity setting. That would be amazing to sleep on. It came with not only a mattress protector and heating pad but not one but two bamboo pillows. It was an absolute bargain.

He smiled. Alissa looked around the room, she hadn't been in this one before. A wooden bed stood to one side, a carved headboard against the wall, a floral bed sheet adorned the bed with matching dark blue throw cushions arranged neatly against the pillows. A throw also sat to the end of the bed, matching the throw cushions. She had a suspicion Kristen had done that, she couldn't see Michael, Blake or Jack arranging throw cushions.

It took up half of the third floor, having an Alaskan king bed, a private living room, a balcony that overlooked the backyard, and a bathroom that was big enough for a gym. It was the only time she’d slightly cowered on the tour. She stepped inside my room and looked at the bed for a long moment before she appraised the barren walls around it. The bed was custom-made and shipped across the pond. It was nine feet by nine feet, perfect for more than two guests at a time. It was the exact reason I had it.
