And for a moment, everyone went quiet. I turned just as the doors opened again. Dominic Salvatore entered first. Alpha. Commanding. Unmistakable. At his side walked Aria Salvatore, his Luna, his wife, and lover… she was also the mother of his child. Her head was held high, her presence effortless, as if she had always belonged at his side. Whispers followed them, some admiring, some resentful. Luna Isobel’s lips thinned. “The woman who was sold as a slave,” she muttered coolly, “now standing as Head Luna. A slave who became the Alpha’s wife.”

CHAPTER 10 •MATTEO’S POV• Walking hastily out of the house straight into the awaiting car which was parked just outside the house alongside my father and Anthony. Anything begins to give us a rundown of the issue going on at the warehouse. We all know who is behind this very issue without even thinking twice and it was none other than ALFREDO ENZO, leader of the bandit group called COBRAS! He and I were long time friends but because of a misunderstanding which he never gave me a chance to explain to him,we split up and have been sworn enemies for almost 5 years.

I was now addicted to his kisses. You're only addicted because his kisses are just like Luca's Oh shut up It's true you two weren't on speaking bases just a week ago and now you're all lovey dovey Just shut up okay He only kisses you because you taste just like his ex girlfriend. I'm beginning to think his ex girlfriend showed up in his dream the night Luca showed up in yours cause I remember before you went to sleep that night you two weren't speaking to each other and suddenly the next morning he said he wants to rekindle your relationship. He's just using you like you're using him don't get too attached to him cause he'll end up breaking your heart like Luca did besides he's also called X

Roman sounded shocked “Do you know any more groups of alphas?” Lucas replied sarcastically “Need I remind you that we shot his girl or whatever she was to him?” Roman tried to remind Lucas that they have a grudge with Legion and asking for his help or even looking for him is possible suicide “I know and right now we don’t have a choice, if Bernard gets his hands on you and makes that beast….” Lucas paused “Then what?” Roman asked “Then we would all be dead” Cheng finished

Nicolas looked down at his feet, not looking at the man whose green eyes met my brown ones. “I believe that it is right to first introduce you to your older brother, more specifically, since you know HIM, at least to let you know to apologize to him for your behavior earlier…” I frowned when I saw him looking at Nicolas who shook his head at the man. His eyes met mine for a second before he looked at the man “I’m Alessandro De Luca, Aurora’s father, and YOUR father’s prisoner”

It was only unfortunate that Luca got to find out the very day she died, along with the child. It so happened that after a month,Luca gathered himself and fought for his family. With wisdom,he recovered the family's lost business however,he made himself a brand new, bitter enemy. His very own step-brother,Alexander Genovese. He felt cheated that he wasn't given anything after his father's death. Luca tried to settle it amicably and share their father's property, still Alex refused. He claimed he was entitled to all as the first born and regarded Luca as the illegitimate child.

Luca’s eyes narrowed, ‘You are not Mafia, it was too easy for us to walk in here which means you have a brother or a father or both’ Alessandro did not meet his eyes, ‘Kill them’ Luca commanded and his men shot his two close friends Mateo and Alfonso who had been visiting him, Alessandro jumped to his feet, ‘No, no, please don’t kill these people none of them have Mafia links. Please’ He turned to Luca and begged, Luca lifted his gun and pointed it at a young girl, the daughter of one of his staff, ‘Give them up or they will all die’

Luca said, his tone impatient. “Ah, no boss,” Xavier replied, still shaken. Luca hissed in annoyance. “You can leave,” he said, waving a hand in dismissal once again. As Xavier walked out of the room, Luca rested back on his chair, his thoughts turning to Elena. He wondered how she was faring. If he had his way. He would stay with her for the whole day. He sighed as he turned his attention to the day’s job. * *

He jerked to reality, gasped loudly and turned to see the security man before him. "Are you okay? You've been standing right here for the past ten minutes like a dead man" Luca swallowed the saliva in his mouth and exhaled, "Have I?" "Yes Man, you're the CEO Of Ocean View, right? Oh fvck! Wow!" He did not reply and got into his vehicle and drove off speedily. Later that evening... Luca finished with dinner alone as usual and headed back for his bedroom where he had been busy all day trying to pull traceable trails of Salamanca Aldo now known as Alexander Eugene and his effort was futile still.

It is always awake now. Luca, the family accountant, sits across from me. He is a small man with nervous hands and a mind that can launder a million euros in three clicks. Right now, he looks like he wishes he were anywhere else. He slides a spreadsheet across the polished wood. "The breakdown, Donna," he whispers. I look at the columns. Asset Allocation: Vitale Estate. I trace the lines with my finger. The paper is crisp, sharp. Graziella Vitale (Trustee): 40%
