"Emilio? What's going on? Where's Alex?" My voice cracked. "Gray...Alex is gone." The line went silent. "Emilio, what do you mean? What happened?" I took a deep breath, bracing myself for the painful conversation ahead. "Alex is dead," I repeated, trying to keep my emotions in check. "What happened?" Gray's voice was laced with concern. "I...I don't know," I lied. "I found him on the roadside. He was pale, cold...already gone." Gray's tone shifted from shock to skepticism.

But just before the ball could hit her, Alpha Charles pushes her away and it hits him instead. A huge gaping hole is all that is left of Alpha Charles’ chest and he slumps to the ground, lifeless. Roth, his security chief, entered and crossed the room with quiet steps, holding a phone in one hand, a folder in the other. Bruce looked up. One glance at Roth’s face told him everything. “Say it.” Roth hesitated. “We confirmed it. Alexander’s dead.” Bruce didn’t move. “Single shot to the chest. Sophie and DeMarco were both seen on-site. The last camera caught her leaving with him.”

Drexton muttered. Alexa exchanged glances between the screen and them. "Who's she?" Alexa asked. "Ixora's bitchy friend. Was shot and died by acid," Jaxon replied.
