I asked, my tone deadly. Hector exhaled sharply. “Cholo’s warehouse. She’s been running things, Boss. Alice—she wasn’t even just working with Cholo. She was in charge the whole damn time.” For a second, I didn’t move. Didn’t speak. I was filled with rage. Alice had been responsible the whole time, she was responsible for the death of Sage’s father, my friend. I had been married to a murderer, a woman who had killed thousands, I had been fucking her back then, had put a fucking ring on her finger.

Alice cut her off . Alisha trembled in fear and spoke through tears, "How can you kill him? You can't just take someone's life. It's a crime." Alice laughed and replied, "You're naive to think I won't do it. I will, regardless of how much of a crime it may seem to you." “Please, it's cold, and it's improper to remove one's clothes," Alisha's tears flowed even more. "You're going to do it now, or I'll make you. I will never go back on my word, Angel."

So it was just random killings all along.” Her finger slipped into the trigger hole as she walked closer. “Any last words?” she asked. The Beta saw the movement and tried to react. “I—” Bang!! His head exploded before he could finish. Alice pulled her gun away and stood back up. “It seems no one really knows Duke’s whereabouts, Dad,” she said coldly.

Her face turned red as Eliza tightened the force around her neck and it seemed like blood had left her body and rushed to her head, "I beg you!" Hazel stuttered inaudibly. "There's no going back, you're already a dead woman!" Eliza snickered, excitement raced through her vein, excitement just like she had always felt when she was about to kill someone, and she craved deeply Hazel's blood when she finally kills her. She squeezed again and Hazel eyes opened wide, she could not breathe again, the door suddenly bursted open, Killian and Marcus rushed in. "Lyra?!" Marcus called in absolutely shock as he stared at the scene.

My pulse quickened, and I opened it: Alpha families, beta clans, ancient houses, page after page until I reached the V section or what should have been the V section. The pages had been removed. It was cut perfectly. I stared at the space; someone hadn't wanted those pages destroyed, they wanted them erased. "...Why?" "Good question." I spun around. Adrian. He stood between two shelves, one hand resting casually against a stack of books. "You enjoy sneaking up on people."

Talking about the future had been the catalyst that I thought might push us to reuniting fully. Now… were we all going to die before we ever had that chance? Yet, in a sudden burst of movement, by brave little girl acted. She pounced, biting her teeth into Olivia’s gun hand, clenching down hard.

“I don’t know what you’re capable of anymore.” That hurts more than it should. “You don’t believe me,” I say. “I believe the evidence.” His voice breaks for half a second before he forces it steady again. “I believe this is over.” There it is. “Say it,” I whisper. “Just say it.” He gathers his Alpha tone, the one used for official decisions. It hits like a physical force. “Serena Valen,” he says, “for attempted murder and failure to uphold your duties as Luna, I strip you of your title and your place in Ravenfall.”

His features were unrecognizable. Something inside me snapped, and I began wailing uncontrollably. Esther walked over and tried to comfort me. "Eve, is he really Leo? Aww. Don't be too sad. The dead can't come back to life–" I pushed her away and lunged forward before grabbing her by the collar. "You killed him!" She fell to the ground and looked aggrieved. "Eve! The winters were too cold to properly house any wolf in that region. “What kind of business?”, his voice deepened and the Alpha on the phone stuttered before finally answering. “The old crimson pack Alpha has been spotted in the area. He was found at the Grayson residence. We think he is searching for someone.”, his voice only waivered on the Grayson name and Damien understood why. They had been a secretive family and he had been surprised when he was informed of their murder. “Thank you – I will send someone to look”, Damien ended the call, not waiting for a reply.
