He smells like one.” “I'm sure he's not one.” Axel said, “he's pretending to be one.” In a way, we were all pretending to be human but he wasn't from our pack and wolves were supposed to stay clear of humans to avoid making them suspicious. Red has her scent mask on to other people, so indirectly, he was using his power to oppress a human.
