Mariah POV The sunlight streamed through the large windows of the packhouse, hitting the polished wood floors in golden stripes. Today wasn’t just any day. Today was the day Nick and I would stand before our pack and declare ourselves Alpha and Luna. The weight of the responsibility, the honor, and the love between us pressed against my chest, and for the first time in months, the nerves didn’t feel heavy—they felt alive.

“I am not going anywhere. This war must stop, now.” Bozo chuckled. Kachi had broken out of his hiding place and was running towards them. In his hands was the rein of Bozo’s black stallion. I said with a laugh as worry lines creased his brow.
