Lucy finally stopped talking, “This isn’t about whatever conversation you might have had with Adrian. I only came here for business, not to patch things up with anybody. So if you’ll please excuse me, I have somewhere important to be at,” I spared her a harmless smile and watched as her expression turned sour.
But then she masked it immediately, “Oh. I think I misunderstood things,” She stepped away, and her red painted nails wrapped around the straps of her bag tightly. It was then I noticed she was dressed in everything red.
