“The next available flight is at 12:00 a.m.” “I saw that online,” I say quickly, desperation creeping into my tone. “Isn’t there anything earlier? Standby? Cancellation? Business class? Anything?” She shakes her head. “All flights are fully booked.” I feel something in me crack. “There has to be something,” I insist, my voice rising without permission. “Emergency booking? Priority list? I can pay extra.” “Ma’am,” she replies carefully, glancing at the growing line behind me, “we truly don’t have any open seats.”

I was about to step out of my car when my phone buzzed. The building’s management number. “Mr. Hale? This is the front desk regarding your reservation.” I stepped away from Charlotte. “What’s the problem?” “There’s been a scheduling error. Your booking was entered for Saturday and Sunday, not Friday and Saturday. I’m very sorry. The unit is currently occupied until tomorrow afternoon.” I pinched the bridge of my nose. “You’re telling me we can’t get in tonight.” “Yes, sir. And I’m afraid we’re fully booked this weekend. There’s no other units available. I can offer a partial refund or…”

“Unfortunately not, Mr. Vale. The hotel is at full capacity. If anything becomes available, we will inform you.” Which meant: Absolutely not, stop asking. “You cannot be serious. All rooms are booked? Every single one?” “Yes, sir.” She nodded politely, completely unaffected by my growing irritation. “Paris is very busy this week. Many events. Your organizer confirmed one room. Two beds.” My jaw tightened. “Of course they did. Why would anyone bother booking things properly for once. Why make anything easy when they can ruin it beautifully.” The receptionist blinked, pretending not to hear the sarcasm.

a classmate asked, her tone sharp with disappointment. Paige tapped her manicured claws against the mahogany desk, her scent spiking with irritation. "Do you have any other rooms? I’ll pay double. Name your price." "I apologize. Like I said, the entire establishment is booked. No rooms are available for the public tonight." Paige gritted her teeth. She had spent the last three hours acting like the Queen of the Citadel, and now she was standing in the lobby like a lost rogue. "I booked that chamber in advance!" she hissed. The staff remained unmoved. "The order came from the top, mistress. The entire club is unavailable."

Johnny frowned slightly. “One key?” The receptionist smiled politely. “Yes. Your company booked one room.” Johnny blinked. “One room?” Grace turned around slowly. Johnny rubbed his forehead. “Is there another room available?” The receptionist checked again. “I’m sorry, sir. The hotel is fully booked tonight.” Johnny sighed. Grace tried not to laugh. “Well,” she said lightly, “this is awkward.” Johnny looked at her. “You’re okay with it?” Grace shrugged. “It’s just a room.” Johnny nodded slowly.

"Too dark to keep driving safely. I already called the team. They made it to the conference hotel fine. We'll join them in the morning." "We're spending the night here?" I stare at the motel with growing dread. "Unless you want to sleep in the car." "No, I—" I sigh. "Fine. Let's just get rooms and—" "Already checked while you were asleep. They're almost fully booked because of some local event." Something about his tone makes my stomach drop. "Almost fully booked?" "There's one room left." I turn to look at him slowly. "One room." "One room." "As in... singular?"

Adeline leaned forward and said to Christiano, "The flight attendant here speaks so gently and softly. She won't speak as loudly as we do!" He gently rubbed her nose and said, "Don't think too much. Take a rest first. I'll wake you up when the food is ready!" "Okay!" Adeline nodded obediently. After thinking for a while, he asked, "Christiano, has the room been booked?" "The rooms have been booked. Since it's a tourist season now, it's difficult to book a room. So, we've booked a room for the time being?" Christiano glanced at Adeline, afraid that she would feel uncomfortable. He continued, "I've already informed them. If there's a big room, help us change it!"

she says, “did you hear what’s going on with Royal Cruise Line?” “What now?” “They’re sold out. Like, next year sold out. Cruises. Hotels. Everything. People are eating this drama up.” I blink. “Seriously?” “Yes! It’s insane. Bookings are coming in nonstop.” I smile slowly. “Well… that’ll definitely look like part of our system upgrade.” She laughs. “AT, you’re crazy.” “Nah,” I say dryly. “That bitch just called me trying to threaten me.” Amara pauses. “Threaten you how?”

"How long is that going to take?" "I'm not sure," She answered, her voice beginning to break from the other end. "Can we book another?" I asked in desperation. "Yes but they have already been fully booked." "Fuck!" I hung up, tossing my phone to the bed. "It just keeps getting better and better." ***

Kyle responded lazily, still smirking. Lysia grabbed the phone from the nightstand and pressed "1" to connect to the reception desk. "Hello, this is room 1101. I’d like to book an additional room, please." [Good evening, ma’am. Unfortunately, our hotel is fully booked at the moment.] A polite male receptionist responded from the other end. Lysia frowned. "That’s impossible. I just saw a tour group checking out half an hour ago. How could the rooms be gone so fast?"
