"I don't know what you're so worried about, Pen. You got this in the bag. Delaware won't know what hit her. She picked the wrong pup to mess with. You're a Bloodstone, after all, and we kickass and take names without even breaking a sweat."
"If you say so," Penelope grumbled. I moved to grab Penelope as she tried to stand, her legs like jello as she almost toppled over.
"Easy, I don't need you are making another visit to the clinic," I warned, my anger slowly diminishing as I looked at the sleepy smile on Penelope's face. Now that I was holding her, I could feel all my anxiety and stress melting away.
