After settling the twins in for the night and making sure Grace was comfortable in the other room, Penelope took a moment to herself. She stood by the window, looking out at the city she had once known so well. The magazine she worked for had given her an important—almost impossible—task. One that was tied to her promotion. She had been asked to convince the elusive billionaire CEO, Graham-Carlton Banks to agree to an interview.

The woman beamed, sprinting up, “Hello! Are you Cal’s assistant?” Penelope walked to her desk, “Yes I am.” “Oh wow! You're a pretty one. Vanessa Dawson, you?” Vanessa stretched forth her hand and Penelope's jaw fell. Vanessa…Dawson? As in…Calvin's sister?! She had seen her on I*******m, but she was even more beautiful in real life. And it was now she noticed the resemblance. “Hi ..hi, nice to meet you, Miss. I'm Penelope Adams,” Penny shook her hand shakily and the girl giggled.

Andy whispered, leaning into Penelope’s ear. “I don’t know,” Penelope muttered. “Maybe someone invited them. Let’s just enjoy the day.” Anna cleared her throat and continued. “You see, I have always admired Penelope for a long time,” she said. Penelope pressed her palm against her chest, touched. Anna continued with a steady voice. “Penelope has always been a strong and ambitious woman from the onset.” Penelope smiled proudly. “When she sets a goal or makes up her mind about someone, she gets it. She doesn’t give a damn about how she gets it. Penelope is really that woman. That bitch.”

“Ember, please, you’ve made your point, they’ve seen you’re brave, please, that’s enough—” “It is not nearly enough,” Penelope says, not even looking at her. “Drink, girl.” I drink.
