He coughed up a mouthful of blood before passing out on the spot. Silence fell over the scene. "Next," Draco growled, but no one dared move. At last, his eyes settled on Liam. "Liam, I respected you because you're the pack's senior Beta and Father's right hand. But it seems my respect made you forget who the Alpha of the pack truly is." He crooked a finger in a beckoning gesture and added, "Now, it's your turn." Liam gritted his teeth and shifted into a massive gray wolf before throwing himself at Draco.

“You know she can’t have anything to do with her past life now that she’s here. She’s our Luna.” His words hit me like a slap, and for a moment, I felt as though I couldn’t breathe. Luna. The word still felt foreign, like a title that didn’t belong to me. I had been thrust into this world so suddenly, so violently, that I hadn’t had time to process what it all truly meant. And now, sitting here with Aiden and Marcus, it was as though the weight of it was finally beginning to settle on my shoulders. Just like he did when we were kids, I’m sure his friends were there, all watching, he was Alpha anyway, no matter what happened everyone will always bow to him. There was something familiar in his stance, a calmness that hinted he was used to carrying out orders without question. “I was sent by the Alpha,” he explained, his tone respectful but firm. “He asked me to take you out shopping today.” I felt a flicker of surprise. “The Alpha?” I echoed, the title still strange on my tongue. “I… didn’t realize he was an Alpha.” I paused, my curiosity getting the better of me. “Which pack are you from?” The man’s expression remained completely neutral, giving away nothing. He simply shook his head. “I’m afraid I can’t answer that, Miss Selene. I’ve been instructed not to.”

Everyone then seems to do the same and I start to wonder if I still have all the chemicals from cleaning this morning all over me. The guy goes to say something else as well, but the girl quickly gets to her feet, standing in front of him. She leans into him and whispers something into his ear, and I watch as his eyes go wide. The next thing I know, he turns the girl around, puts his arm around her shoulders, spits on me and then says to everyone else with a huge smile on his face, "Hey everyone, it looks like the Alpha himself has a new play toy. Who wants to bet how long she lasts with how the Alpha treats his females..."

I replied, almost yelling. “Don't say that!” My mother said, walking up to me, and squeezing my shoulders gently, “You'll find your mate, he'll be strong, loyal, handsome and over protective…and who knows…he might even be an Alpha…” She was right, he was an Alpha, a bastard one infact. “I've heard you Momma, but I just need you to stay off of this, and besides, I just want to enjoy my life a bit, before tying it to someone else's.” I told her, raising my shoulders slightly in a shrug.
