Looking at the not too familiar features up close knocked fucking breath out of my lungs. His beautifully sculpted chiseled jawline, lashes that could compete with mine and his dark hair that fell to his eyes, making my fingers itch to touch them. I could study his entire build for days and never get tired but the cocky smirk that curled up his lips and the mate scent that hit my nose threw me right back to reality. ‘Mate!’ my no-name wolf growled again, more possessively and a sob threatened to escape my lips. And then the old Alpha from the Blue Moon pack comes in with his younger son, as his oldest has a mate and is not the Alpha. I stand and go to greet them as they are our closest allies and friends, and walk over there. “Alpha Adam, Alex. It has been a while.” I saw and bowed my head. “Alpha Liam, good to see you. How are you?” “I am good, thank you,” I answer, but then we get interrupted by Alex blurting out MATE. We stop talking and watch as Alex starts walking towards Alpha Mike and his sister. The girl is lost looking at him, and I can see her say the word, mate. Alex offers her his hand, and she takes it, blushing hard, as they leave to get to know each other.

my mom stated firmly. “The Alpha already has a mate.”

The Alpha chuckled, “Don’t worry my little spitfire, it’ll heal before you find your mate.” My eyebrows creased in confusion. “Hey, Daddy, what’s that? What’s a mate?” He smiled as he pulled me into his lap and looked at me. “Well, a mate is like your best friend. They are someone who will always be there for you and protect you. And its someone you can’t see yourself living without. Someone who will love you no matter what and will only love you.” He explained with love in his voice. “Oh,” I looked down, crossed my arms. Clearly, I was deep in thought. “So, you’re my mate!” I exclaimed.

She slowly whispers " What can be more important than knowing about your mate?" Deep in her heart, Alexa knew that Adele was right. Her mate seemed to be an Alpha and Alpha's usually cannot resist the mate bond, then why did her mate leave without even meeting her? While Adele was staring at the distance, her friend Beta James approaches her and asks " What are you doing here? Everyone is looking for you for the family photographs." Adele comes out of her thoughts and remembers it was her brother's wedding day and she did not want to ruin it. She gives an awkward smile to James and says " Come, let's go."

When Samuel was torturing me he destroyed my oath so I was able to sense my mate.” Ali says her eyes not moving from the woman. “Torturing you? The report we received is that you had gone rogue” The man in the navy suit says, looking around for any indication that Ali is joking. “Hardly.” Ali snorts. “Ok!” I say breaking in. “How about introductions?
