He questioned silently. Our eyes met and I crossed my arms. He didn’t need to announce what he meant, even if he had handled it calmly or didn’t react, it wasn’t a small matter. "I have no excuse; I lost my temper and I attacked him." He looked troubled before he placed his head in his hands. "Theon… You are to be future Alpha, alongside Charlene. You cannot hurt your future Gamma, Raiden is a good man." I don’t really give a fuck.

"Not an Alpha." My voice was cool, detached. "Not a Luna or even a Beta." I knelt beside him, my face inches from his. "You're still lower than the food chain you love so much. You can be explained away."

No one had ever seen Alpha Kael lose control like this before. Valtira's face crumpled in shock and hurt, she turned and fled upstairs, her footsteps echoing through the stunned silence. Alpha Kael stood frozen for a moment, his eyes blazing with anger, before realization dawned on him. He had made a grave mistake. With a growl, he turned and followed Valtira upstairs, leaving the others to wonder at the unprecedented display of emotion from their usually stoic Alpha.

Draven raged inside, slamming against the walls, fighting to get free and avenge his fallen pack member. The scent of ash became stronger, so strong his own people moved back. Atticus's chest rapidly rose and fell, huffing as he stormed forward. His aura was so thick, it made it hard to breathe and his people stepped back even further. A deep continuous rumble rose from the Alpha's chest as his eyes swirled with flames. The enemies that were left watched horrified as the Alpha approached them. They felt frozen in place, unable to move as something they never felt before approached them. The Alpha's aura was so strong, that they swore he was in his true form.
