I read this book in a few days. This was one of the few books that had a great storyline that flowed effortlessly. Minimal if any grammar errors and a captivating group of characters. I would definitely read another book by this author! Can we get a book 2 about Drew and any updates on Arla and clan?

The Wolf behind the desk

The Wolf behind the desk

You belong to the wolf now," he growls, initiating a possessive claim that is ancient, fierce, and utterly non-negotiable. Elara Kim spent nine years as the ice-cold CEO Rian Thorne’s executive assistant, dedicated to her job but desperate for freedom. When she finally submits her resignation, Rian's controlled facade shatters. His eyes turn to liquid gold, and she realizes her billionaire boss is a monster hiding in tailored wool. Rian doesn’t just reject her notice—he rejects her autonomy. He forcibly promotes her and relocates her to a sealed luxury suite on the 65th floor, effectively turning her professional life into a gilded cage. Elara soon discovers the terrifying reason behind his possessiveness: she is his Anchor, the only thing preventing his inner wolf from consuming him entirely. As the moon cycle approaches, Rian’s control fails, and he collapses, exposing his absolute, animalistic need for her touch. But when their forced intimacy draws the attention of rival packs who want the Anchor for themselves, Elara realizes her only chance for survival is to submit to the man who holds her captive. She knows the cost of freedom is high. But the cost of staying could be her life.

The Deaf She-wolf: Kaya

The Deaf She-wolf: Kaya

This book is authored by Ariel Eyre. "She is deaf." "What, she can't be deaf. I have never heard of a deaf wolf. It is impossible." "I am serious. She had an accident when she was six. She didn't have her wolf then, and it couldn't heal, resulting in hearing loss." She smiled. Her smile could have knocked me over. It was something I would want to see as often as I could. "Can you hear me?" She just shook her head. How on earth would I communicate with her if she couldn't talk? If I marked her, I could mind-link. I could mark her here and now. It is my right, after all. But she may not like that. I had to wonder if her being deaf, though, would be okay. If I marked her, she would be Luna to my pack. She would need to be strong. I had no idea if losing her hearing made her weak. As much as I wanted to claim her on the spot, I would need to know that she could hold her own. Or, at the very least, could be taught to fight. --------- When I pressured my brother to take me down to the southern territory I just wanted to experience the way the rest of the world lived. Growing up in the north is brutal and we survive off the land. But I never expected to meet my mate and from a southern pack made it all the more difficult. His values differed from my own. The way his pack lived was the opposite of how I was raised. The brutality of my life would lead me to make decisions that put the Shadow Pack in jeopardy.

Not Your Backup She-Wolf

Not Your Backup She-Wolf

Eight years of loyalty—wiped out by three days of her batting her lashes. At the bonfire, I swore the Alpha would finally mark me. Instead, I watched him fasten a sparkly little pendant around her neck. When the fire broke out, he ditched me—flames snapping at my heels. Said I could "handle myself," then played hero carrying her out. She showed up at my herb shop all smug, called me a "mutt no one wants." Then he showed up—Alpha on his knees outside my door, begging for another shot. I nodded toward my shelves. "These heal every wolf in Stormborne... except the Alpha who couldn't see what was right in front of him."

Frequently Asked Questions

Every werewolf pack story needs a good alpha losing control scene, right? It's a cornerstone of the dynamic. I find they usually fall into two camps. There's the 'mate threat' category, which is basically the default trigger. Another character insults or flirts with the fated mate, the alpha's vision goes red, and suddenly everyone's cowering. It can feel a bit overdone, honestly. Then there are the ones tied to pack hierarchy itself, which I find way more interesting. A challenge from a beta or the defiance of a pack member can spark a rage that's not just possessive, but deeply political.

What really gets me invested are the moments that merge these. Like in some stories I've read, the alpha gets furious not just because a rival touched their mate, but because that action was a calculated insult against the pack's strength and his leadership. The anger is twofold: personal violation and public humiliation. That's when the growling and the aura of dominance feels earned, not just a hormonal reaction. I'll admit, I sometimes skim if it's just another bar fight over a lingering look.

That political challenge angle is actually the most satisfying to read. An elder questioning a decision during a crisis, or a neighboring pack encroaching on a border while the mate is present—those scenarios force the alpha's anger to be strategic. It's less about losing control and more about demonstrating exactly how much control they're choosing to relinquish to make a point. The aftermath of those scenes, where they have to balance their primal fury with the consequences for their people, is usually where the character grows.
