I asked, and she looked up at me and smiled. “You understand that oracles are rare,“ she said, and I nodded. “What is even more rare is an oracle that is human. One reason being that humans are mundane with no supernatural connection. A blank slate as you will,” she waved her hand in the air, “This is why they are so coveted. They can be changed or bonded to any of the species.” my eyes widened at her words, “So when a human oracle is discovered, they are normally infused with the essence of the supernatural who claims ownership, or who forges the bond with them. Light-POV Alpha Harmon Claw stood tall between two other guys who i am assuming are his second, Liam and third in command, Jason. Alpha Harmon stood in black geins and leather jacket that complimented his broad shoulders and muscular arms just right. He has hazel eyes, blond hair, a straight nose and a jaw line as sharp as a knife-you get the picture. "Alpha Harmon, this is my daughter Light Alngle." My father spoke up. Alpha Harmon just stared at me for a while. He said nothing and neither did any one on his side.

Something was off, and the feeling within the room became palpable. “Welcome gentlemen, I am honored that so many of you could join us tonight,” Alexander started. He leaned forward resting his hands on the table as he looked directly into the camera. “There are just five days left until the action starts, and I thought it was high time you got a little preview of what you are all fighting for. How many of you have dreamed about having your very own human pet? Someone that would answer to you and only you, the type that you could use and abuse in any way you saw fit only for her to come back begging for more?”

“If you touch her, I’ll do far more than just kill you.” A promise. A death sentence. “Look at that. So this human is your weakness, Alpha?” the enemy mocked, a cruel smile on his lips. “Who would’ve thought a man who killed his own brother would care for someone.” “Even predators have their favorite prey,” the sorcerer said, amused, sizing me up from head to toe. He frowned. “You called her human?” “Yes,” the other replied, wrinkling his nose. “She reeks of human flesh.”

"We'll leave everyone alone on one condition." "No, you'll leave everyone alone period. And you'll leave now." Airen's anger seemed to seep out of her and physically surround her. An almost aura-like wave projected from her body and washed over the vampires. It also washed over the rest of the crowd. I watched in stunned silence. Airen had an Alpha Aura. And it was a powerful one. Her Alpha Aura washed over Cade and me and the intensity of it nearly sent me to my knees. I noticed that the humans were doubled over in pain and the vampires were struggling to keep from submitting. Cade was turning red from the pain of fighting it.

Then it dawned on me, Liam spoke of a secret that Caleb hadn’t told me yet. “What did Liam mean? Your parents were not the only ones that had been slaughtered?” Calebs hand froze with the rag under my chin, the orange flakes in his eyes sparkling. He stared at me in confusion that faded away to pain. “Our parents were killed by a rouge vampire.” he continued dabbing at the blood on my neck. “Vampires can go rouge?” “Yes, they are a lot like wolves but less... human. Your species... they can shut off their humanity. After that they don't care about anything or feel anything, just hunger.” He sat the rag down and moved in front of me kneeling on the floor.

Her enticing scent was not in the air. I walked down to the woods. Getting out of my clothes, I gave way for Lore to take over, my wolf coming to the front. Lore was a very large black wolf. Towering over every wolf I have come across. Not even my father’s wolf was this big. Although Lore was the same color as my father’s wolf, Adrian. They were nothing alike. Where Adrian acted on impulse and out of control, Lore was more calculated. Though I must say Adrian was one of the many reasons my father was feared.

I couldn’t shift because I was stuck. Alpha Leonardo didn’t protest. He shifted into his human form, standing bare before everyone. The blood of the men he has killed dripped through his body. Raising his hands in surrender, “Now, let go of her, Vogar.” His eyes narrowed. Even in his human form, he still looked like a predator. “Funny how you trust me, Brother.” Vogar squeezed my neck hard. “She is not worthy of a man like you. She has to….” His body suddenly vibrated behind me as he groaned in pain.

“It’s… something else. Humanoid, but wrong.” Damien’s voice was a growl. “The runes are holding, but they’re straining. We need to reinforce them.” Althea began chanting, her voice weaving ancient words, while Damien sliced his palm, letting blood drip onto the central rune in the foyer. The wards surged, forcing the figure to retreat, its snarl fading into the forest. But as it vanished, Aurora caught a glimpse of its face—familiar yet impossible, a twisted echo of someone she couldn’t place, stirring a buried memory from her lost past.
