The only sound Aurora could hear was his breathing, his flaring nostrils as he took in Aurora’s scent. Realization struck him, followed by anger, “She’s a human”, he managed to say angrily. He had waited all these years to be mated with a human. He could feel it but he knew it would take time for her to feel it. It pained him that her scent was addictive, that he couldn’t take his eyes off her. She was a human for goddess sake, a lowlife, a maid, and a weak being! He was Lucian the Great. The pleading tone of Arla’s voice, coupled with the sad look on her face, made him cave instantly. “Dude! Archie stood in the middle of the group, holding a broken wood in one hand and a broken metal ball in the other. The wolves kept their distance as the scent of wolfsbane floated in the air. Archie turned it around for everyone to see the royal seal on the front. "That's the Pruvaria's seal," Serif gasped. "So it's true," Lottie said. "These weapons are made by the human kingdom." "This seal is part of the armory," Cristobal said with disbelief, "but this contraption is something I've never seen before."

Alaric said. “Lilith.” “The Mother of Demons?” Amethyst and Alpha Ford said at the same time. These war room meetings didn’t include all the other Alphas, but Alpha Ford and Amethyst were the experts on lore and history. If Amethyst was there, so was Ford. They looked at each other with wide eyes full of fear. Usually, when they had one of these moments—where they would say the same thing simultaneously, brainstorming, remembering lore and history—they would look at each other, smile, and kiss. || Lilac’s POV || Alaric walked around the desk and stopped before an old chest. The ancient chest creaked as he opened it, releasing the scent of dried herbs and old blood. Sunlight streamed through the study windows, illuminating a haunting illustration: a beautiful witch with emerald eyes and silver hair, her hands raised over a kneeling Alpha whose veins blackened where her magic touched him.

I sprinted as fast as I could, sinking my teeth into every opponent I encountered. My focus shifted to Alpha Agni, who was struggling to stay on his feet amidst the onslaught of adversaries. Keahi, too, found himself immobilized, as another Alpha soldier stood in his path, preventing him from reaching Agni. Alpha Agni was not just the Alpha of Blue Moon pack, he was also a parental figure to both me and Keahi, my best friend. Without his guidance, it was uncertain where we would find ourselves at this moment. Perhaps a slave, serving some arrogant Alphas?
