"A hobby?" she repeated, her voice dangerously low. "My career, the thing I've spent years building, the one thing that is truly mine, is a 'hobby' in your carefully constructed narrative?"
"It's a secondary pursuit," he clarified, his tone condescending. "It's not the foundation of your life. This marriage is."
