Amazing Ex Wife: Come Back Please Novels & Stories

About to readjust her pillow when a familiar voice made me pause in shock. My hands shook as I reached for the Tv remote and cranked up the volume. I was right. Staring back at me on the screen was my ex-mother-in-law. “Why the hell is she on Tv? Haven’t they done enough damage?” My wolf complained. “Quiett!” I shushed her as my eyes read the interview headline. PRESS WELCOMES BACK BUSINESS COUPLE FROM THEIR HONEYMOON AFTER THE GROOM SURIVES MARRIAGE TO A REAL-LIFE WITCH.

“What is it?” “Liam!” Adrian’s voice crackled with urgency. “Jesus Christ, have you seen your ex-wife?!” Liam sat up straighter, a muscle ticking in his jaw. “Did you just use ex wife and still asking me if I have seen her?”. “I’m literally at her bachelor party—or whatever the hell this is. Bro, she’s throwing it like she’s celebrating a second life. There are—” Adrian paused, clearly overwhelmed. “There are male dancers, and she’s right in the middle of it, laughing like a damn goddess. She’s even—God—dancing for them.”

One after the other, they took their leave until I was the only one left in my office. Reclining against my table, I used my fingers to trace the corners of my name plaque, my smile growing even wider. Nine months ago, I was the wife of Caruso Milton. Fast forward to nine months later, I was the heiress of Nexus Corporation, one out of the three largest cologmerate in the country. Pushing my hair behind my ear, I plopped on my chair, a low sigh escaping from my lips as I turned on the TV. The headlines caught my attention, so I decided to keep watching until it came to full display once more.

My pupils dilated as I glared at my husband's ex wife sitting gracefully on the couch in my living room. My blood boiled in rage but I couldn't do anything about it and just watched her in silence. Perhaps it never occurred to me that my husband's ex wife would come back 3 years later with a toddler and tell him he's a father. I don't even have the chance to be mad at him, she's giving him a child I couldn't give him for three years. He was surprised and angry but in a minute, he was holding the toddler in his arms like he had been expecting it all along without even considering my feelings.

After her, he is the closest person I can consider a friend. He spitted out the drink and stared at me like I have grown two heads. “You mean Madeline Parker, your ex-wife?” He repeated my words in a question form. I cringed at how he called Madeline my ‘ex-wife’. We aren’t divorced yet. “Yes, she came to my office. To be honest, I didn’t expect her to cling on our marriage. It was a surprise for me. All these years, I lived with this thought that she forgot me and moved on in her life but she was actually waiting for me and now, I am feeling like a pathetic asshole.” I confessed, guilt pooled in my heart.

"I should let you know that your ex-husband is going to be present at the gala. And I am pretty sure you don't want to show up looking like someone who is still struggling without him, do you?" I felt like I had been stung when he said it does worse to me but I knew he was not wrong either. Artemis had taken everything from me including my pride and I did not want him to see me as the same broken woman that he fooled into jail. That was not going to happen but with the way this control freak was bossing me around, I found it hard to just say yes even though that was what I would have done if the circumstances were normal and this whole chaos was not there.

Her gown—slutty, too revealing—was exactly the kind of thing I would have rolled my eyes at years ago. “Good to have you back. By the way, this is my wife,” Damien said, pulling me closer. I straightened, ready to play my part. “Darling, who is she?” I asked, my eyes narrowing. “I’m Micah, Damien’s childhood sweetheart. And when did you remarry?” I smiled, tilting my head. “Sister, you’re a little outdated. Didn’t you hear the news? Evelyn Lockwood is back with her husband.” Her eyes widened. “She is the Evelyn?”

He paused, then he spoke, “You come back to me. As my wife, with my son. We get to try again.” Um…what the hell?

“I just want to say hi. And please be prepared, because very soon I’ll claim you and my children again. I admit, I chose gold over a diamond like you, Lia. But just tell your husband, tell him your ex is back. Tell him in a way he’ll understand, like this: DEAR HUSBAND, MY EX IS BACK.” Her trembling fingers almost dropped the phone. Her world tilted for a second, and she almost forgot how to breathe. No. No, this couldn’t be happening.

It had been like that for over a decade now, and I promised to fix it for her, but I never got a chance. After my marriage with Armstrong, I became a housewife, and he never allowed me to go out except occasionally. I suddenly heard a strange voice called my name. “Zara aruthur,”
