“Hi," she greeted. The cheerfulness she had the other day was gone. My head felt heavy as I studied her. Her pale skin was littered with bruises, and her beautiful blonde hair was disheveled. Her lips looked busted, like she had been attacked. I became angered by the thought of someone hurting her. Despite my strong dislike for her and her cheerfulness, I found myself feeling concerned, wondering what was wrong, who had done that to her. Who had given her those bruises. Her beautiful blue eyes were bloodshot as she stared at me. She looked like she had been crying.
