The cab driver slumped forward onto the steering wheel—blood blooming across his chest. Helena screamed. “NO! HELP!” One of the masked figures smashed the cab’s side window. Glass exploded everywhere.

“Jace! Are you okay? Please tell me you are okay.” She sobbed loudly. Jace couldn't reply just then, armed men busted out of the two cars, weapons drawn, and surrounded the cab. Angela's heart raced as she gazed out the broken window in horror. “Why is this happening.” Angela cried silently.

And standing by the side of the store under the flickering lights was Angel. He had his hood up with a phone pressed to his ear. Not wanting to spook him or make him suspicious, I killed the headlights and parked half a block away. “What the hell is he doing?” I muttered.
