The man read from a sheet of paper in his hand. At his question, I smiled. It was a question I could answer in my sleep. "It was started by Charles and Angela White in the year 2004." I replied reciting one of the first pieces of knowledge about the company I had been taught by my dad.

He groaned as I shifted in his lap , as I could feel a hard thing pricking me underneath…making me squirm. “So my mum called this morning, and told me about the brunch she wants us to come to… on Tuesday,” I started, monitoring his reaction. “and she invited your bro— stepbrother.” I almost choked on the word. He didn't react at first, or say anything. Just kept quiet. “We don't have to go, honestly.” I added, pecking his cheek. “Brunch with your family? And that bastard was invited? He just doesn't know when to stop.” He scoffed and looked away.

ANGELINA POV: My mind was still occupied with what Fiona had said a few days ago. I kept replaying her words, straining my mind over how complicated her relationship with Ethan was. He was my stepbrother, a man who had sold me to my biggest nightmare for money. I didn't know him. I didn't even know he existed. But from what I had heard from everyone, Ethan was a messed up guy. All these days, he was the man who had destroyed Danzel's family, the man who had killed Danzel's entire future.
