Marcus's POV

The next day, I called Kelsey.

She answered with a hoarse "Hello?"

I replied coldly, "Kelsey, where's my watch? Do you know where you put it?"

Kelsey's tone turned cold. "I don't know. Don't ask me."

Then she hung up.

I stared at my phone in disbelief. How dare she hang up on me!

I grabbed a watch and stormed out of the villa, skipping breakfast.

In the car, I asked Darcy, "Did the hospital call her?"

He answered, "Yes."

"Are you sure?"

I couldn't understand why Kelsey was being so stubborn about Spike's medical bills.

Her savings couldn't cover the huge expenses.

I called her to give her a chance to back down, but she was ungrateful and hung up directly.

Darcy said, "I just checked. Spike's bills are paid."

I snorted, "She probably only paid for a month."

"No, for ten years," Darcy shook his head.

"Ten years? Where did she get so much money?"

"Records show she paid for a month, then an anonymous account covered the rest. We can't trace the account yet."
