He thought he heard the sound of the door opened and closed again but paid no heed to it as he took another sip of his drink with his eyes closed. Then perfume scents wafted in the air around him and he felt a feminine hand tug gently on his arm and made him lie on her soft chest. He tried to look up to see who she was but he couldn't make out her face as the room was darkened, his blurred sight not helping and she started murmuring light words of comfort as she loosened the buttons on his shirt. Too tired to care who the lady was and what she was doing, he resigned himself to his fate, imaging the woman to be His Angel but with a small thought at the back of his mind that her scent was not

"What could that be? Amelia asked shivering. "The question is who could that be " Eric replied quiet unmoved by the gun shots. "It could be Derek, Samantos, Anna or anybody ". He took the fork and knife. He held the full chicken on one of the trays with the fork and cut it with the knife. He picked it with the knife into his mouth savoring every taste. "God please forgive me, holy Mart take control. Angel Micheal, son of God. I mean Angel Gabriel, the son of God, oh my fucking God, someone should just take control ". She was breathing heavily as she said the prayers.

This was different, almost pawing and whimpering at the tiny creature inside. Inside, a slight movement rustled with the mud and a faint whisper. Sniffing again, it was still the same citrus smell. It was not of a fae, elf, or nymph that could easily enter the trunk. In fact, it seemed much smaller. My curiosity was becoming the best of me; I almost didn't hear the small whisper. "Please, don't eat me," it begged. The voice was that of angels. Miniature and meek, quiet as one of the whisps that liked to toy with my braided hair. My heart almost stopped hearing its cry.

I was deaf and blind between them, eternity all I could see. It was not a language. It was the glory of God. The fire and mountains and all between. My heart bounded across the sea, reaching out with the song. Their voices yearned. Vital parts were missing. It was a calling. The ground quaked, and shafts of light burst forth from the spires. I watched, aghast, as figures fell like comets from the heavens. The air screamed as they crashed into the rocks, wreathed in flame. Standing proudly atop their pillars, the five angels took their place. The singing spires burned.

"No! I am not going to do anything until you tell me–holy freaking sh*t!" Ethan accidentally pushed a human-sized angel statue beside the fireplace. They heard clicking sounds before the angel statue slide aside with the wall behind it, revealing a stair leading somewhere down. None of them was able to react for a full minute. Their eyes just kept shifting back forth from each other, both riddled with confusion. "What is this place?" Ethan exclaimed while scanning the spacious room that is filled with all kinds of weird stuff. "I have never seen these things before in my life." Andra stated with astonishment.

“I go by Mischief now.” Mischief grasped the Addict’s arm, swinging him to his feet and then in a wide arc. The angels’ wings wrapped around each other, as they slow danced to the song that had been played for me, close and intimate. Then the Addict purred. I blinked. Angels purred when they were happy…? Or maybe only when they were hard-on happy…? Either way, that was hot. “Zophia or Mischief, I care only that you’re here,” the Addict murmured. “The sorceres—”

Aurelian did not respond. “You allowed interference.” Silence. Then the Archangel’s gaze shifted. To Kaelith. “You are the cause.” Kaelith placed a hand lightly over his chest. “Wow. Straight to blame. I like it.” The Archangel raised its hand. The realm responded. From nothing, a weapon formed. A whip. Not physical. Not entirely. It burned with a flame that did not flicker, did not spread, but consumed everything it touched. Its edges dissolved into mist, trailing something that did not belong to any known element.

Marciano silently pulls me closer until my forehead rests beneath his chin. I focus on his heartbeat, listening to it go and catching the rhythm. One. Two. Three… "I… There were so many people towering over me that I started hearing voices,” I tell him and whisper the next words. "'Come here, Angelica. Come here, beautiful.' I kept hearing the words from all angles, and my head kept turning because I couldn't tell who was speaking.” I pause to catch my breath. “And before I knew it, hands. Multiple hands reached out from inside the crowd.” My fingers begin trembling.
