In the far corner is a sink and a crude-looking toilet. Hooks line one of the walls, all empty. The air smells like rust and dust. But then, something catches my eye. A shelf near the back, almost hidden in shadow. Not plastic packages this time. Books. Old ones. Their spines are worn, leather cracked. Some have gold filigree. Others are thick and bound in cloth. Though the term is more famous in high school, college has its own cliques. Their particular clique is strange. There were a bunch of muscular men around lanky guys with glasses, yet they were all conversing and mixing in naturally. And he was in the middle, a black-haired muscular guy in specs. His white long-sleeves were neatly folded up to his elbows as he quietly ate pasta, pushing the frame of his glasses up his nose every time they slide down when he leans into his plate. Tisha shook her head in mock pity. “Come on.” Annabelle said as she dragged her friend by the arm and entered the house, the rest following behind. “ It’s time for business.” The inside was well decorated. There were three couches ,a rug on the floor and a huge shelf full of books. There were a lot of doors that led to corridors. There was verandah that showed the view of a stream at the back of the house. “Make yourself at home.” Tisha said and they all sat down at a couch.

I muttered with a look of awe and admiration. It was like stepping into a fantasy library. The walls were soft-tone red with flecks of black and white. Shelves and shelves of books were neatly arranged in a circular manner. In the center was a little table with an unlit scented candle and two rows of beautiful bookmarks. Three chairs were alongside. There was also a coffee maker in the corner and a soft looking couch.
