Alessandro’s POV Even after seeing the club, I thought I had reached the end of it. I was wrong. This wasn’t about music, women, or even excess. The game board was already set. Matteo moved deeper into the underground, toward a section roped off from the rest. The air there felt heavier, quieter in a dangerous way. A single long table sat at the center, dark wood polished to a mirror shine. Cards. Chips stacked in neat, intimidating towers. Cash exchanged hands without counting.
