“I’m not looking,” I lied, spinning away. “And my name is Anya, not little fox.”
“Little fox, you’re such a bad liar.” His belt buckle clinked. Boots hit the ground. “You can watch as long as you like.”
I kept my back turned, but the air changed—charged, electric. Bones cracked, a low growl rumbled. And then warmth pressed against my side.
The wolf was massive, fur black as midnight, eyes liquid silver. He nudged my hip with his flank, gentle but insistent. He looked beautiful—beautiful that I envied his ability to have a wolf and shape shift with ease.
