Maid for Him
Dusting herself off, she noticed the birds had only waddled to the base of a nearby tree.
Why didn’t they fly? she wondered, observing their striking blue feathers, red patches, and golden feet.
“Wow,” she breathed.
Suddenly, the largest bird began charging at her, chirping furiously.
“Oh no... no... I said I’m sorry!” Amber turned and ran, staying on her path as the furious bird chased her.
She dashed past tall trees and thick bushes until she spotted a small hill. Perfect.
She circled the hill, the bird on her tail. Once... twice... thrice... and on the fourth lap, the bird’s eyes spun with dizziness. It stalled, staggered, and crashed into a tree.
