“Look in your hand.” I opened my right hand and there they were. My car keys. “Oh, wow. Guess my mind is a little jumbled.” West smiled as he walked over and wrapped his arms around my waist. I placed my hands on his chest and looked up at him. “Stop stressing yourself out, Catherine. It’s just dinner with my parents and Wren.” He paused before adding. “Oh, I think his girlfriend, too.” My heart dropped a little and I made sure to keep my composure. “Girlfriend? Has your brother finally hopped on the commitment train?” God, I hoped not. For my own good, I hoped not.

“Okay, so what? It just means I need to get her out of my system. I didn’t get what I wanted, and I still want it.” Carter frowned. “Maybe. But if you just want sex, you could find lots of other women to fill that hole.” He chuckled at his dirty pun. Anthony stared down at his beer, surprised that he only had a little bit left of this one. He’d never been a huge drinker, at least not to the point of getting drunk, but tonight apparently all bets were off. He was talking to Carter like they were teenage girls in a romcom and he was chugging down beer like it was water from a desert oasis. What the hell was wrong with him?

**Kyle's POV** Oh shit! I’ve messed up. I can’t believe I’m the one who led Kate to her divorce. And today, after seeing her, I don’t even know how I feel. She’s changed so much. Kate has become someone I never imagined—so confident, so damn beautiful. That’s undeniable. And her attitude? Badass.

I HAD no idea how to stop this dream. But first, I need to get away from Zachary. I ripped his coat to free my hands and was about to push him away when he held me. She was really cute and I loved how fiery she could get, but I wasn’t sure that attitude sat well with my wolf. Vilkus loved his women submissive, fiery, feisty, he just didn’t do well with neither of those things and he could do extreme things when it came to bending them.
