Alexandro followed it immediately, heading straight to the coast.
He stood at the edge of the roaring sea, the wind lashing against his skin as the waves crashed at his feet. Somewhere across the vast ocean was Serena. He could feel it. Her scent still lingered in his senses. His bond to her was unbroken, but weakened, dulled by distance and silver. He looked up at the moon—full and bright, a symbol of strength and clarity. Dropping to his knees in the sand, he tilted his head back and let out a deep, guttural howl.
“Moon goddess,” he whispered, “please… guide me.”
