A Second Life Inside My Novels

A Second Life Inside My Novels

She wrote until there wasn't a fairy tale lie she couldn't expose anymore. "The End," she wrote at the last page of her novel. Cathedra climbed atop her desk chair and hung a noose over the beams. She tied a knot firmly, making sure it was strong enough to fulfill its purpose. She slipped the knot over her head. She jumped and kicked the chair off. For a few minutes she struggled and fought for breath, the way humans were normally programmed to do. For a few minutes, she had enough time to reflect on her short-lived life.

Rejected for Her Curves, Claimed by the Blood Alpha

through the silver silk of the Liquidator. The Eighth Layer began to collapse. The liquid-silver mirrors didn't dissolve; they Rusted. We stood in the ruins of the "Apotheosis," our breath coming in short, ragged gasps. I was covered in my own blood, my copper hair matted and wild, but for the first time in five layers, I felt Real. "The beauty was a lie, Darlene," Eryx growled, pulling me into a kiss that tasted of iron and salt.

Where Ashes and Oaths Collide

Where Ashes and Oaths Collide

The dock workers moved in unison, their blank, iridescent eyes reflecting the morning sun like polished glass. “You have a choice, Escuro.” Estrella said, stepped forward until she stood just outside the circle. “You can join us. You can be part of the new world. Or you can be another flawed vessel.” She gestured toward the fountain, where the girl’s breathing had finally slowed so much it was barely audible. Her body lay still on the stone, the purple veins darkening into something almost black. “I am flawed,” Escuro announced. “I am of the old Gods. The fountain and whatever is in it will not work on me.” The dock worker’s grip tightened, and for the first time Estrela’s composed mask falt

The Heiress's Brutal Revenge

The Heiress's Brutal Revenge

I approached the pedestal, heart racing, while Damien stood a few paces behind me, his expression unreadable. I hesitated, then reached out and opened the tome. The pages were filled with intricate symbols, archaic text, and sketches of creatures that defied explanation. As I skimmed the pages, I began to piece together a narrative of balance and chaos—a tale of an order that had sought to harness the raw forces of creation and destruction. The text spoke of a “Chosen Vessel,” a being who would carry the mark of the Forsaken and become a conduit for ancient power. It described a ritual of transformation, a dangerous process that could either elevate a mortal to near-divine status or condemn

The Apocalypse Hoarder

The Apocalypse Hoarder

Unbearable, bone-crushing pain tore through every inch of Cyrus Knovell's body. It was no illusion. It was real. Too real. He lay sprawled on the ground, beaten by the very friends and neighbors he had once trusted and helped. Their fists, their boots, even their sticks struck him with ruthless force. In this apocalypse, where food and water meant survival, kindness no longer mattered. They cared only about tearing him apart. Through the haze, Cyrus spotted a familiar figure at the edge of the mob. It was Diana Feynor, the woman he had once worshipped as a goddess.

My Reborn Apocalypse Begins with a Divorce

My Reborn Apocalypse Begins with a Divorce

He bent forward instinctively, practically bowing, his face plastered with flattery. Before the apocalypse, he had been Jace's lackey. After the apocalypse, nothing had changed. He didn't even need to practice—servility had long since become second nature. Jace had decent looks and stood about five foot nine. His hair was neatly combed, not a single strand out of place—something exceedingly rare in the post-apocalyptic world. His whole appearance gave off a clean, tidy air, unlike most people, who looked as though they hadn't bathed in weeks.

From past few chapters it shows hardly any progress. Only everyone’s inner thoughts are going on and on. I like your writing but this. Sometime I even forget what was the previous dialogue to connect with the next one. Because both have 5-6 pages of inner thoughts.

Contracted to the Uncrowned King

Contracted to the Uncrowned King

Hopping the answer would be yes, I flipped to the introduction, the much-needed hope fluttering in my chest as I read. “From their temple origins to their violent renaissance in the Bloody War that birthed Henosis, Crowns of Shame have a complex past mixed with hope and cruelty alike. Despite its variety of intents and shapes, one thing remains the same throughout its history: the scar-tissue that defines it.” I flipped through the book, deterred by the word “scar-tissue”. I stopped at a page with a grotesque image of a man on his knees as someone carved a line across his forehead.

THE LUNA’S ASCENSION

THE LUNA’S ASCENSION

It was like staring into the abyss, and the abyss was staring back. The others—Kael, and Sophia—were somewhere behind us, but I couldn’t focus on them. All I could see was the deity, towering over us, a force of nature that was growing stronger with every second. Its presence was like a storm, unraveling the world around it. The tomb wasn’t just collapsing; the very earth seemed to quake in response to the deity’s awakening.

Adore (Wish, Book Three)

Adore (Wish, Book Three)

“You have to tend to the fire for a week ‘till it grows and then on the seventh day, you step inside. If you pass, it will break the manacles of magic around you.” “This is really vague,” I feel hesitant. “It doesn’t really make any sense.” “I understand.” Lowenstein gives me a steady look. “I would advise you against it. There’s a reason why your powers were sealed. You don’t want to open that can of worms.” I feel tense. “You wrote several books about the Blood Moon Hybrids. You know a lot about them. Have you met any?” Lowenstein is silent, and I repeat my question, “Well, have you?”
