Novel & Cerita Arc Meaning Books

The image was too familiar. My vision blurred for a moment… ~~ Flashback - 999 Years Ago ~~ “See, Damon, come in! Look at all the books!” Aria had squealed, pulling me by the hand into a little bookshop nestled in the heart of the capital. She twirled between the shelves, the smell of old parchment thick in the air. “I love the smell of books,” she laughed, hugging a dusty novel to her chest. “Doesn’t it make you feel safe?”

"It could be anywhere." "Then we split up. I'll take the left side, you take the right." "Luna, if someone comes—" "I'll howl. Now go." They separated. Aria moved through the shelves, her fingers trailing along spines. Black leather. Brown leather. Red cloth. Green canvas. Book after book, none of them white. She passed sections labeled in faded ink: Royal Decrees, 1400-1500. Witch Trials, Northern Territories. Bloodline Records. Curse Studies.

ARIA'S POV Where I got my boldness to speak to Cordelia in such a manner, I don't know. But one thing was for sure: I was no longer afraid of her. She had to be humiliated to know what humiliation feels like and to learn to behave herself. Looking at the archive between the books in my hand, I wondered why it was handwritten and what exactly it held. Walking towards the seat at the window, I sat down and began to read. A documentation that was never recorded in the history books. I had never heard or read of this in all my life, so how does this make sense? Why does Alpha Anthony have this with him? Was that his reason for building the secret library? To hide this?

“Your upcoming readers will care, Hana. You need to be more active, but we will figure that out later. Since you’re not any good with social media, I’ll help you promote. Bella says we can do Arcs.” “Arcs?” “Advanced readers copies,” Cara told her. “They will read the book before you publish it and leave you a review. If some of them like it, they will even promote it.” “Oh.” She slid her arm around her sister’s shoulders and pulled her in for a side hug. This could work. She didn’t want much. She didn’t even care about not making a profit. She was happy just having the book being published. Cara wiggled out of her hand and grabbed the laptop. “Who’s Bella?”

- Crystal's POV - I pushed open the door to the study. As soon as I entered, the odor of books filled the room. Five large bookcases stuffed with books on philosophy, economics, military, and management. Every book looks old. I took down a few random books and saw handwritten annotations in each one. It seems Arthur could become the most famous Alpha by virtue of his hard work and erudition. Seeing so many books made my heart settle down a little. I've heard that the books one has read will melt into his bones, blood, and thoughts.

“You don’t know that yet either.” He didn’t argue that one. We kept searching in silence after that, the only sound the scrape of old spines against old wood and the occasional cough from disturbed dust, until my hand landed on one bound in cracked white leather, thinner than the rest, tucked sideways behind books twice its size like someone had wanted it hidden rather than shelved. “Alaric.” He crossed the room before I finished saying his name. The cover bore no title, only a wolf stamped into the white leather, its edges worn smooth by generations of hands. I opened it on the small reading table between us, and the first page nearly stopped my heart.

Saturday morning, after breakfast, Don gave Caroline the three books together. Not the individual copies, which she had received over the years of their publication—The Inside Account in the fifteenth year, The Ground Keeps in the sixteenth, The Emergent World in the eighteenth. She had read each one when it was published, had written to them about each one, and had discussed them with Ernest and Don on subsequent visits. But Don had had a set bound together: The Inside Account and The Ground Keeps and The Emergent World in a single volume, the three books bound in dark green leather with a title stamped in gold on the spine: THE INSIDE ACCOUNT / THE GROUND KEEPS / THE EMERGENT WORLD.

"Do you think I don't read or something? I'm actually fond of reading." "Well, it's a surprise that you like reading," Aria said. "But it's even more of a surprise that you like reading romance books! How come you like them?" "I just do," he shrugged his shoulders. "And this particular book caught my attention because it dives into partner abuse." "Yeah," Aria excitedly said. "I thought that it was going to be a typical love story, but once I reached the end, I got goosebumps after I realized what the title meant. It felt incomplete yet complete at the same time, you know?"

Reyna- “It has been a week since the CEO of Wolf Tech has gone missing. For those that don’t know, he is the creator of the virtual reality game, known as Arcane Realm. The game has become exceedingly popular since it was first announced to be released a year ago. Many had lined up to purchase the gear needed to play the game. Since it was released the day before CEO Luka Alder went missing, it has been a popular topic. Arcane Realm was created as a fantasy role-playing game…” The lady on the radio continued talking, but I reached over and turned it off.
