Chapter 6 Ariel POV To cut the long story short, I went to bed yesterday hungry, after I made their bed. I didn't have enough sleep all through the night, since my stomach couldn't stop making noise. I thought I won't last the night, but glory be to God, I woke up this morning, breathing fine, although my body was weak and I felt like I was going to die. My phone beeped while I was still on the bed, and I lazily reached out for it, swiping the unlock button to see that it was a message from Amy.

"It is not trying to crawl in. It already knows how." The room went still. Not quiet and not peaceful, but still. Ryan leaned forward slightly, his focus locked on her. "Explain." Aria pressed her palms together as if she were trying to steady something inside herself. "It is not a creature," she said. "Not really. It is fragments." "Fragments of what?" Caleb asked. She hesitated. "Something old," she said finally. "Older than the kingdoms. Older than the wolves. Older than the witches."

"Awooo!" Some birds scattered from a tree nearby, startled. "Mother!" Lilah and Aeryl cried, slapping their hands to their faces as they laughed along with everyone. Ariana sat backmdown and boasted about how she could finish off thousands of assailants with the tip of an open umbrella. She then went ahead to tell the story of something similar that had happened when she was pregnant with Aeryl. Aeryl became the subject of interest. As the tale continued, Aeryl’s mind slipped off and she remembered that princess from that day. The kind one who had helped her when she cried. She went deep in her thoughts.

Chapter One. Third-Person POV. Arielle was placed right on the stretcher, and she kept on wailing and shouting in pain. She didn't know it was going to be that early; she was supposed to give birth in the next two weeks, but it happened so fast that she was already in labor. "You should stop shouting! You are calling for too much attention." Her stepmother, who was with her, warned her while she ran together with the nurses as they pushed the stretcher towards the ward.

"Just see me in the office tommorow" he retorted and ended the call immediately. He dropped the phone carelessly on his bed and walked back to the window . "One of us has to leave for the other! Ariel stood by the entrance door , she tried to open the door but it was already locked , she didn't have any spare key on her , so she just resorted to using the doorbell .
