The island was apparently only a few kilometers off the coast. Elias looked around. “This is impossible. We were days at sea.” John’s words echoed in her. Never lost path. Was the storm really just a storm? Or had the island deliberately returned it? A Martinshorn sounded in the distance. A black van bog around the corner of the harbor camp. No police marking. No company. Tinted discs. Jonas reacted immediately. “Get down!” He pulled Mara behind a container. The van stopped at the port entrance. Two people got out.

“I don't know.” “Then find out.” He scanned the page. “There's a destination.” My heart jumped. “Where?” Arlo's finger moved down the column. Then he stopped. The destination wasn't a city. It wasn't a port. It wasn't even a country. It was an island. “An island?” I asked. “Yes.” “Which one?” He frowned. “There isn't a name.” “What?” “Just coordinates.” I pulled the paper closer. The numbers were written in the same neat handwriting as the other entries.

As the jade amulet vibrated, the barrier began to crack and dissolve into nothingness. The whole spectacle was over in less than five seconds. Observed by the crew aboard the Lord of War, scrutinized by the Temple of War's vigilant members, and under Alexander's piercing gaze, a verdant island spanning twenty kilometers slowly emerged at the heart of the ocean. "The Unnamed Island, that's the one marked on the Black Maple's USB drive!" Without a moment's delay, Alexander commanded with a thunderous voice, gazing down at the island, "Fighter jet Aledandra, descend and land immediately!"

I just smiled and nodded at him. "Let's go," Rusty whispered to me, guiding me towards Kim, who was at the yacht's railings, gazing at the sea. The yacht was spacious, rented by Arik solely for us. The island we were headed to was one of the most famous and talked-about islands in the area, but only a few people had the chance to visit. It was a private island, and the owner preferred to keep it away from the bustling crowd to prevent damage. "Hey," Arik suddenly approached me while I was admiring the rolling waves.

Alaric stood at the deck of his yacht, the salty breeze brushing against his face. Before him lay the shimmering waters surrounding the mysterious island he’d been chasing for months. It was so close, yet impenetrable. The island was no ordinary refuge. It was the Guild of Shadows’ headquarters, a fortress bristling with security measures both visible and hidden.

It looked to be a breathtaking sunset. “Can we watch the sunset?” I asked, already standing up. “Of course!” Gabe said, nearly knocking over his chair and taking my hand. I followed him out to the patio and we stepped up to the railing. The ocean sprawled out in front of us, all the way to the horizon, where the sun sat lonely on the water. The sky was on fire, making the incredible view from the island even more breathtaking. A warm breeze blew off of the sea, causing my hair to fall across my forehead. Gabe reached over and pushed the loose hair over my ear. His touch was soft, as if he were afraid I might disappear if he touched me.

I exclaimed as I leaned back in my chair. Florisse frowned at me. She insisted on using a spoon and fork, so I don't think she was very full. My brow furrowed into a smirk. "Spoiled brat," I said quietly. We were about to land on the Island that Paul had mentioned. I'm looking forward to swimming in the sea again. I set out to meet the Island in the distance.
