I studied Ashley quietly before finally speaking again. “If people knew I survived, Michael and Henry would never have escaped the Ramirez family” I said calmly. Ashley looked away angrily. “They still deserved the truth.” “Maybe.” Nick frowned slightly. “But… he’s not wrong" he said. Ashley whipped toward him immediately.

Rae’s POV “Start talking,” Killian said. “I’m listening.” I looked at Zeus beside me. He met my eyes briefly and gave the smallest nod. I turned back to Killian. “First thing,” I said. “Asher is injured. He took a knife to the stomach protecting me tonight and Maya is with him right now.” I kept my voice steady. “Second… the victims that were moved here tonight are dead. Both of them. And Ethan is missing from his post.”

Launching her body at Lindsey they both hugged each other tightly as Ashley burst out in tears. “I can't believe this is actually happening…” Ashley said, crying over Lindsey’s shoulder in happiness. “It is sweetie, it sure is a miracle,” Lindsey said honestly, knowing it was indeed a miracle.

I did not mean to eavesdrop, but when they mentioned my name, I couldn't help but want to listen. Tiptoeing to the door, I peeked through the gap as the door was left slightly ajar. I was feeling guilty, knowing they did save me after all and that I should know my place. I was about to turn and head to the bathroom when Asher, one of the three Alphas, spoke. "What are we going to do with her? She's a survivor, and a bond that was never meant to happen." My brows squeezed together..Survivor? A bond? What does he mean?

Luke is such a great actor," Ashley said sadistically, laughing. Hailey gradually pieced together the fragments of information in her head: "Not here to save you... a job well done...
