Austin Butler Age Novels & Stories

“Well, hi. How’s my favorite sister?” She chuckled. “Doing well. You got a minute?” “Of course.” “Got info back on Austin.” I glanced at him in the kitchen pulling down cooking utensils. “What did you find?” “He was arrested when he was nineteen.” “Yep.” I nodded. “I know.” “Well, that’s it, sis. Nothing else is flagging. He’s a model citizen, doesn’t even have a speeding ticket.” I don’t know why, but this news relieved me. I didn’t even realize I’d been concerned until now. “Awesome.”

The butler only bows and does not utter a word. "She said... some things to me earlier today... and I seem to think differently of her now. I am troubled. I keep seeing her crying gave flashing in front of my eyes like a silent siren. Feeling like the criminal." "Maybe you should take a different approach, your majesty. How about trying to do things to make Ellie happy?" "Doesn't sound like a skill I can harness, Chris." "We learn every day," the butler replies philosophically. "I don't have that time, Chris," Austin says, disturbed. "Look, my brain is one always filled with politics and war, well suited for that. Not the prospects of trying to understand what a little girl likes."

"A second ago, I thought... I thought I might not get to see you again." Her gaze drifted to Tabitha standing right behind him, studying her with a hint of curiosity. "And who is—" "A friend," Austin answered shortly, stepping half a block to the side to bring Tabitha into view. "Hello," Tabitha said, taking a step forward with a perfectly warm, gentle smile. Her voice was incredibly soft and low. "I have a background in medicine. If you don't mind, would it be alright if I take a quick look at you?"
