Before she could ask why, the world twisted around her, air bending, light vanishing and then, suddenly, they were standing in front of the villa.
Avi let out a startled cry, clutching at him as she tried to catch her breath.
“Calm down,” he murmured, holding her steady. “You’re safe.”
“What did you just do?”
“I teleported us,” he said simply. “You’re perfectly fine, maybe a little surprised.”
“A little?” she said, eyes wide. Her breathing slowly steadied.
“I wanted to show you that even if I can’t change form right now, I can still get you out of danger in a heartbeat.” He smiled faintly. “We’ll talk about it later. Mikan’s coming.”
