I begin feeding her , while still talking to her. “My queen…” I hear the voice that I had been dying to hear ever since I woke up from my unconscious state. My head snaps to the entrance to see a very dirty and sweaty Xavier. Though his face and hands were covered in dirt , and his clothes were soaked with perspiration , I could not help but feel attracted to him. I feel my eyes are latched on to him , it felt so hard to tear them away. I noticed every single detail about him – from the way his chest rose and fell from his rapid breathing , to the tiny droplets of sweat that dripped from the tip of his hair. He was simply a sight for sore eyes , though dirty.

Third Person POV ——————-//——- “How do you think the crows died?”, Aven asked. “Probably through a parasitic infection”, Xander spoke while they both picked up the deceased birds, one by one. “How’s Letharia holding up?”, Xander asked as the breeze gently lifted his hair. Aven sighed “Running a fever, asleep.” Xander rubbed his arm “Aspen, I’ve never been uneasy, but this does it.” Xander had been sunburned “Damn this sun”, he scoffed.

Deciding to check on Lady Alexia, I went to her room and cracked the door open. Seeing Xander already seated there by her bedside spiked my pulse and my body hummed in response to him. I couldn't help the smile that suddenly etched it's way onto my face. He seemed to hear my heartbeat as his ears perked up and he turned to stare at me with those stormy greys.
