"Thank you. We will be awaiting your arrival." He hung up the phone and turned to me. "We have a healer coming from the A****n. She specializes in removing dark magic. She should be here by tonight." I breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Keith. You have no idea how much this means to me." Keith smiled at me, taking my hand in his. "I'll do anything for you, my love. Anything to keep you and your family safe." True to his word, the healer from the A****n arrived that evening. She was a small woman, with a fierce look in her eyes. She wore a necklace made of bones and carried a bag filled with herbs and potions.

Zara had just believed Elder Aliya blindly because she thought that she had the pack’s best interest at heart but now she was not sure about that. She took a deep breath before announcing herself and then pushing open the door. The guards within stood at the ready with their spears but stood down when they saw her. “Good job, you can come out now,” she said. As she settled by Alpha Draven’s side, she was alone with him in the room. His pale form and shallow breath told her that he was not getting any better. What was the point of a healer who could not heal a simple stab wound, she wondered in frustration.

"Hurry, Zaria!" I dress in thick leather pants and a dark tunic, slipping out of the lodge into the cold night. Unable to call a standard pack transport at this hour, I use an encrypted rogue hailing frequency to secure a ride through the dark alleys of the territory. When I arrive at the white stone medical fortress, I run straight into Healer Ronan Whitmore near the entrance. "Ronan!" The tall healer looks commanding in his dark medical robes. "Zaria. You are here for Kael?"

Then, Aldric did something completely unexpected. He turned around, extending his hand directly toward the healer. "Lady Seraphina, please step forward." She blinked in surprise, stepping up to the stone railing uncertainty. "In absolute recognition of your unyielding courage, your boundless compassion, and your unparalleled service to the people of this realm," Aldric declared loudly, "I hereby officially restore your title as the Royal Healer of Blackthorn."

Elder Maelis’s former lineage healer has moved your mother, Lady Morwen Ashwyn, to the top of the waitlist for a full heart-core purification ritual. Please arrange the required pack-tribute funds as soon as possible. We can begin the blood-healing ritual the second a compatible Alpha donor core is secured."

She shrugged. “I think so.” She started putting drops into the bowls. Noting how the holy water worked with it and then over to a few other shelves grabbing several powders and liquids. She shoved a few into Daral’s hands as he had followed her. She really was a driven woman, that stuff she just made for wounds, half those in the other room were already healed. Their bodies soaking up her healing salve. “I am going to need your help. Aries has some rather serious wounds. He was also injected with the venom and got a rather potent dose it seems.” She glanced at him.
