Bad Influence

Bad Influence

Samara took a deep breath before saying, "M-m-mo… mommy." "Fucking hell!" Shawn cursed. He looked up to the sky as if he wanted to scream and protest at The Ones Above. When he looked back at Samara, his face looked tired. "What now?" "Mommy is in debt." "She's always in debt!" "But now... it's different. That man doesn't want to let go of mommy. And Sammy can't just sit still, especially now, when mommy is ready for rehab," said Samara.

Our Final Goodbye

Our Final Goodbye

As expected, the screen was filled with over a thousand missed calls. Zoe let out a scornful laugh. "Next time, you should switch it up. Terminal illness? Jumping into the sea? Maybe she'll transfer all of the Warren family's assets straight to the Coles." He smiled casually. "Maybe she would." Taking advantage of the moment before anyone noticed me, I left the house, dazed and hollow. When we were eighteen, Adrian had worn a faded, repeatedly washed white shirt and knelt at the entrance of my home, appearing awkward and earnest, as he confessed his feelings.

They say... someone died." "What?" Julia trembled violently. "Say that again?" "The police said the person who died was likely Mr. Hale."

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars because it deserves it! This book is worth the read! It is intriguing and suspenseful filled with the need to want to uphold a century long treaty of peace but it is all starting to crash when love and fate steps in and turn everything upside down.

Frequently Asked Questions

The concept of a 'bad end' in storytelling always hits differently depending on the medium. In visual novels like 'Fate/stay night', a bad ending isn't just about failure—it's often a narrative punch to the gut, where choices snowball into tragedy. I still shudder remembering some routes where hope gets snuffed out brutally, leaving characters broken or worlds doomed. But what fascinates me is how these endings linger; they aren't lazy writing but deliberate emotional mines. Games like 'NieR: Automata' take it further—bad endings there peel back layers of existential dread, making you question if any 'good' outcome was ever possible.

Books handle it differently. '1984' doesn't offer a traditional bad end—it's a slow suffocation of rebellion, where the protagonist's spirit is erased. That's more terrifying than any sudden demise. Bad endings work when they feel earned, not shock value. They stick with you because they mirror life's unresolved pain, the paths where things just... don't get better. And that's why I both dread and crave them—they're stories that refuse to comfort you.
