“What?” “We haven’t tried the other booths yet.” “Huh?” “I want to try those,” I said as I pointed to the booth where people are using toy guns to shoot the cans and they’ll get an enormous teddy bear if they did. “I want to get that teddy bear.” I said with a huge smile on my face.” He shrugged. “Let me just get you one instead. We’ll buy something that is much bigger than that.” “No, I want that one.” I insisted, then I dragged him towards the booth. “Let’s play it, Masi!”

A sudden breeze just happened to blow in from the window, lifting my dress and giving even a clearer view. There seemed to be a brief red flash in the teddy bear's eyes, but I pretended not to notice as I stood on my toes, reaching for the cabinet nailed to the wall above. I specifically picked a finger sleeve and smiled in satisfaction as I leaned against the headboard to start my show. I placed the teddy bear back where it was sitting so that it still faced me. Its black bead eyes looked so real just then, a pervert just like its owner who was watching behind the hidden camera.

My eyes shifted about nervously once again through the the teddy bear's presence that was jarring, like finding a daisy growing in a cemetery. Yet, either way, in that moment, taking the game's rules in consideration and my dangerous surroundings more closely, the teddy bear felt like the only friend and hope I had in this dreadful place. Whether this toy bear truly held such value remained to be seen. But with each passing moment, my curiosity grew, as did the sense that this innocent-looking bear harbored a sinister secret, one that I may be better off leaving undiscovered in the dark. If the rules are right, I can possibly use this toy in facing the unknown obstacles I had to trudge on.

Two kids Ken and Peter are in the toy room. The bear was bright pink and nearly as tall as she was. “If anyone can win this game, it's you,” Elsie said, stepping close to Oliver. I hope she's right, he thought. How embarrassing would it be to lose this in front of her? “You get three balls to throw,” the attendant said, handing the balls to Oliver. “If you're able to knock them all down with just those balls, you can have the giant teddy bear.
