No Nut November month started on a busy note as more students crammed into the library for studying sessions. The reading program for elementary students meant more people were borrowing books they usually didn’t read to collect stars on their reading cards to exchange some prizes decided for the school. Mary sighed. It was a busy week.

"Can we borrow or take the books home?" "Stop playing games, youngster. We are about to finish." The man spits angrily. He examined the book on the table. "The Beast King? You may find more recent editions of books on any bookshelf, this one is out of date." "Recent ones?" I have my doubts. I could instantly understand why this book had been classed as out of date. Most likely, those at the top did not want everyone to come into contact with such information. The majority of people nowadays have only heard about demons. They are unaware of how frightening they were. To avoid public uproar, literature containing specifics concerning demons was banned.

“That nerdy shit is your only ticket out of school.” “No mom, there should be another way.” "Join the Book Club. Stay out of trouble. I can’t take another scene like the one I just witnessed. I won’t let your father keep tearing you down. But I need you to give me something to fight with." I rubbed a hand over my face, groaning again. "This is ridiculous. I was done with my touches fighting the inner voice telling me I was doing too much just to go and read in a library where I was banned. Now you might wonder why I was banned, and it's not for the most popular reason. I was a quiet reader. It so happened one day, after I discovered the library in the Darkmoon manor. I went in there to read just like every other person does. My coming into the manor was not accepted by many and the lord over them all was Lucas who still had this resentment against me, back then when we were still younger wolves.
