He didn't make any move to let go , I also couldn't break free even if I wanted to, his gaze held me in a trance. My heart was thundering hard, the scene pretty much look like one of those cliche scenes from a romance movie.... but yeah, this was how it really happened (and you weren't there) . He blinked, the undecipherable look was gone, replaced my confusion and finally ended with a blank look.

Everything feels so incredibly dreamy as if we've been transported into a fairytale. As the movie comes to an end, I rest my head against Michael's chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. In this serene and intimate moment, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love. I am filled with a profound certainty that my life has been forever changed by this extraordinary man, and I eagerly await the countless adventures and cherished memories we will create together.

And the thing that makes me hold my breath, is the feeling of his heart beating rapidly in his chest, banging against my ear. It's the most beautiful, electrifying noise. When the movie ends, I lift my head off of Crayvin's chest and sit at the edge of the bed, checking the time. We have one hour to get ready and head to work. I lift my arms in the air and stretch as I turn my head to look back at Crayvin. I thought he had been asleep since he didn't say a word during the movie, but I was dead wrong.

After that they will both get better and fall for each other. Every time I watch such scenes in the movie, I almost peed with excitement and even punched my pillow with so much joy. But now that it's happening personally in my life, it doesn't seem like I'm excited or happy at all. I didn't even feel any spark from him. Could it be, because he is not the man my heart hopes for? or because I have become numb and afraid to love again? Bea thought to herself as she looked at Aldrin, who was also looking at her.

I felt my heart swell hearing him say that. I wrapped my arms around him and nuzzled in. I glanced at the TV and noticed a different movie was on. "What movie is this?" "Hurt locker." "Hmmm"

Her chest reacted again. Sharp. Sudden. She grabbed the table. “What is this…” she whispered. Her heart was beating faster now. Faster than before. And she did not know why. Back in the medical room, The machine started reacting. The numbers increased rapidly. The doctor’s eyes widened. “Sir,your heart rate,” “I can see it,” Adrian said calmly. But his gaze was focused. Sharp. “Record the pattern,” he added. “Yes, sir.” The machine continued beeping faster.

Warning: Remote artificial heart shutdown imminent. Mandy didn't even look at them. She kept her eyes locked on mine and gave a vicious yank. In that instant, my vision went dark. But right before I blacked out, I heard the rehab center's doors slam open. Someone burst into the conference room, pushing a wheelchair. Aiden sat in the wheelchair, his face as white as a sheet. His gaze locked onto the bloody incision beneath my collarbone. The next second, the alarm on his artificial heart went off at maximum volume. He clutched at his chest and toppled out of the wheelchair, collapsing right at Mandy's feet.

Everyone was smiling, except for one person. Theresa. She sat in the front row beside her parents, both looking increasingly uncomfortable as they watched me walk to the platform. She was glaring at me like her stare would stop me dead in my tracks. I glanced her way and lifted an eyebrow, just to let her know that she didn't scare me and was in no way a threat to me. Her eyes became even harder as I passed her and swept up the stairs to stand beside Travis who took my hand and brought it to his lips for a sweet kiss.
