She'd make a perfect plan to leave Alex entirely in a way that it wouldn't affect her son Henry. Alex laughed mockingly walking away. A car horn pulled in and stopped outside the building. Caro looked through her window and saw a flashy black SUV. A woman stepped down. She's beautiful, wore flashy shoes, pink dress, sunglasses worn and hair flown across her shoulder. She walked fearlessly like she owned the world. Bella. What? In her house?

Bella The sky outside the window was the same dull gray it had been for days, thick with the kind of humidity that pressed against your skin and made everything feel heavier—like grief, or guilt. I stared out over the estate grounds, hands cradling my stomach, silently begging the universe to give me one clear sign this was going to work. The plan was simple. Effective. Ruthless. A leak. A carefully timed betrayal. And me, at the center of it all.

“Sofia! Hey, are you not hungry? C'mon let's eat something” She finally turns away from the window, her eyes falling straight on me. I almost forget how to breathe, it's been long since she looked into my eyes. The depth of those eyes is alluring, always pulling me in effortlessly. The tension between us is shortly cut off as she looks away before getting out of the car. I watch with mild frustration as she follows after her sister, looking effortlessly stunning in that pretty brown skirt dress. ‘How long are you going to stare, moonpie? Is it really Maria hm?’ Bella's voice runs through my mind.

I grabbed it. “Nurse Leena.” A cold ripple went down my spine. I stepped away from the open hallway and into the shadowed corner near the window, where the curtains were still half drawn. Only after checking that no one was around did I press the phone to my ear. “Hello… Miss Bella,” she blurted the moment the call connected. Her voice was breathless, like she’d been pacing. “I’ve been trying to reach you. You weren’t picking up. I hope you didn’t tell Mr. Ronin about my refusal. I’m really sorry. I wouldn’t have turned you down if I knew how serious it was.”

Bella sighed into my arms. “At least I have been seeing you more than I thought I would and that’s something.” I nodded. It was more than I’d thought I would be able to offer myself. I kissed her on the forehead hurriedly because anything else would have meant I wanted to stay here longer. I forced myself away from her arms and went directly to the car. She came to stand by the window and wave her goodbyes one last time. “Straight to the office. Take the rear entrance so, we remain unseen.”

But I wasn’t fooling anyone not even myself. With a quiet sigh, I got up and walked out of the bedroom. The house was dimly lit, the faint glow from the living room spilling into the hallway. I could hear the faint clicks of her laptop keyboard before I even saw her. Bella was sitting on the couch, legs folded beneath her, her pink pajamas soft against the pale light of the screen. Her hair fell loosely around her shoulders, and she looked… peaceful, but distant. Like someone forcing herself to stay busy so she wouldn’t think too much.

Must be Richie rich! “I am here!” She messaged Scarlett and wandered around to find the way into the kitchen. It was already a dusky evening and she was tense because the party had already started. And no way, she could enter through the bunch of people inside. She walked up the backside of the building. Scarlett called her instantly. “Bella, don't come through the back door. I unlocked the window on the right side of the kitchen. Use it.” Scarlett instructed her. Sighing, Bella walked to the direction and saw a medium size glass window. It was unlocked. Pushing her phone into the loose pants, she opened it quietly and jumped inside. She nearly fell but stumbled forward.

Bellas POV Bella awoke to the soft rays of sunlight filtering through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over the room. The rhythmic chirping of birds outside seemed to underscore the quietude of the morning. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, she found herself alone in the bed, the space next to her noticeably empty.

Bella spoke her pain over her tears. Amelia felt sad for Bella. She always knows that Bella desrves some one better. "Babe, where r u? I will come and pick you up" she offered softly. Bella sniffed before replying. "No, i want to be alone right now. I will go back on my own" she replied before disconnecting the call. Bella raised her hand to flag the bar attender for another drink. But her gaze landed on someone who seemed familiar from her vantage point. She can see his side profile from where she was sitting.
