Novel & Cerita Belle's Favorite Book

Bored and restless, I wandered from room to room, searching for something to occupy my mind. In Bella’s room, I spotted a book on her nightstand—Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas. I had heard good things about it, so I decided to give it a shot. I curled up on her bed, diving into the pages. For a while, it worked—I was able to lose myself in the story and momentarily forget the unease tugging at me. But, of course, that didn’t last long.

I loved going up the staircase, so that was where my books were kept. I didn’t expect it to still be there—I was just curious what was—but I was shocked to find it fully stocked. The young adult novels still sat, but the collection had expanded to two shelves. Classics from Charlotte Brontë and Jane Austen, the entire Harry Potter series, and many others lined up together. Was he in the wrong class, the wrong school? He flipped pages fast, and suddenly a picture caught his eyes. He went back a few pages, and there was the profile. Jasmine Carter. His eyes glided to the picture, and he felt his blood pick up heat. Her dark eyes, the red hair...even through a picture it seemed to pierce him. Like arrows. He gave a small smile and leaned back, just as the bell went up for recess. He watched keenly as the students trooped out fast, each hurrying to just be free from class.

Bella was seated in her room, reading her most favorite novel ,One Life to Live. She dimmed the lights in her room, letting the soft glow wrap the walls in a warm amber hue. The cozy light made everything else fade from her sight ,as if the entire world had melted away, leaving only her and the story in her hands. She felt herself transforming, drifting into another world. She sat on her most comfortable reading chair, positioned near the large open window. The cool evening breeze slipped into the room, brushing her skin and stirring her hair. The soft sound of rustling curtains and the faint scent of roses from the garden below made her room feel even more enchanted.

The mansion was unusually quiet that afternoon. The kind of heavy silence that made every small sound feel amplified, the distant ticking of a clock, the soft rustle of pages, the occasional creak of old wood settling. Aiden sat curled up on one side of the long sofa in the living room, a book open in his hands. Reading had always been his escape whenever his thoughts became too heavy, too loud. The words on the page helped him disappear for a while, even if just for a few minutes.

So we got up and went inside to the dining hall, it was the warmest room in the building and always smelt like bread. "Has Ryder bothered you lately?" She asks whilst rubbing her hands together to create heat. "Other than yesterday nope." I answer. She takes out some readymade chocolate crepes from her bag and we share it.
