Rebecca downed her first two drinks, while Sydney was already on her third like it was water. I was still on my second, trying to catch up. “It’s a clean win,” Benny said reluctantly, as if he had been rooting for me. A fake pitiful look crossed his face. With a small victory dance, Sydney claimed her prize and stuffed the money into her purse, making Rebecca and me burst into a fit of laughter.
