Jacob supported me as we stood there, his gaze at Timothy cold and unyielding.
Timothy's eyes then fell on my slightly rounded belly, shock evident in his expression.

I nodded slightly, keeping my tone composed. "Hello, Mr. Lewis."
The formality of calling him "Mr. Lewis" put an end to any connection between us.
He shook his head smiling bitterly. He knew that we could never go back to how things were.
