Another good chapter. I have to say that you have definitely upped your game with this book. I am no doubt a fan of your other story but this one hooks me in right from the start. The chemistry between the characters is amazing,,would like to read more soon, cheers!❣️

Her will and mind are in dispute, there is a part of her that does not want to know the truth from Hayes especially when she finished reading the book of The Legend Of The Moon Goddess and Alphas Legacy. Hayes said she should read it first so that she would be prepared for what he would say. And there are also a lot of similarities between the book he gave her, The Legend of the Moon Goddess and the book she bought online, The Moon Goddess and the Wolf. The characters, some settings and plot. But there are things written there that are not in the book she bought. But Nina needs to face her fear now, she asks for this so she should stand by it.

The Beginning

The Beginning

I burnt Rome to the ground, blamed it on the Christians. Created the bubonic plague, and set it loose on the humans. They didn’t stand a chance. Oh all the countless wars ‘in the name of Christ,’ I started. Helped the Romans sack Jerusalem and the list goes on and on. The havoc I caused, the millions I slaughtered with absolutely no mercy.

The First One

The First One

The First One sat on the beach and stared at the violent waves of the ocean as he deliberated. The killings had stopped but not for long. Instead, he replied with actual books I’ve read before in my first life that he firmly hated. “‘Darkness Within’ is my first recommendation. Absolutely amazing. ‘Death, are you real?’ is also good, as well as ‘The Next Morning’. Those three are my best picks.” I blinked several times, visibly surprised. Earlier events completely shoved to the side as this new discovery of Cassius Silverton reading thriller books had me utterly nonplussed.

I asked all three of them. I could see Cain smiling down at me with pride. “Well, novels would be great. That’s a good starting point for any beginner,” the first man said. “I agree, and you could make picks from romance, mystery and thrillers, and even historical fiction,” the second man responded. “We have a list of the top bestselling authors. You will be glued to every book you select,” the third one said. I became relaxed almost immediately, but then again, Cain’s phone beeped.

THE FIRST

THE FIRST

They lived like royalty while we suffered like slaves. I got to work, sweeping the floors. The task was exhausting, and the pain in my feet flared up again. I sighed, glancing at the massive bed. Without thinking, I threw myself onto it. The softness enveloped me, and for a fleeting moment, I felt a bit of peace. My long, curly black hair tumbled out of its bun, spreading across the bed like a dark halo. I probably looked ridiculous, but I didn’t care. It was the first comfort I’d felt in days.
